The song "Ein Mönch kam vor ein Nonnenkloster" tells the story of a monk who visits a convent with his long prayer beads and a "kling klang klonimus Dominus" chant. He knocks on the door of the convent, and a sick nun comes out to see him. The monk climbs up the stairs to see her on the upper floor, and she asks him what the object is that he is carrying under his robes. The monk explains that it is his patient's staff, which he uses to heal sick nuns. The nun asks him to heal her as well, and they go to the organ loft where the monk plays the organ and chants with his beads, making the nun feel better. The song concludes with a moral that warns against misunderstanding the power of music and prayer.
