Jullian
It's a hungry world
They're gonna eat you alive son, yeah
Oh Jullian
When the fangs sink in
I'll spit you but then I gotta throw you back in
You just try and sleep, even though you're alone
You just close your eyes boy and dream of home
And light is always up, you just keep that in mind
When you wake in the morning you'll be satisfied
'Cause there is always a wrong to your right
And there will always be a war somewhere to fight
And god knows I've had some rough fucking yeahs (ooh)
Oh lord, oh lord, keep on keeping on
Jullian
I thought I told you this
But I guess I was wrong, yeah yeah
Oh Jullian
It probably scares you now
In the future it counts you got to trust me trust me, yeah
So lock this song away, for a darker day
When you're down on your knees, screaming oh lord
I am always there, you just keep that in mind
When you wake in the morning you'll be satisfied
'Cause there is always a wrong to your right
And there will always be a war somewhere to fight
And god knows I've had some rough fucking years (ooh)
Oh lord, oh lord, keep on keeping on.
La la la la
'cause there is always a wrong to your right
And there will always be a war somewhere to fight
God knows I've had some rough fucking years (ooh)
Oh lord, oh lord, keep on keeping on.
The song "Oh Lord" by Foxy Shazam is a powerful message of guidance from a mentor to a younger individual named Julian. The mentor warns Julian that the world is harsh and will eat him alive. When the fangs of the world sink in, the mentor promises to help Julian, but also cautions that he'll have to throw him back in. Julian is instructed to try and sleep, even though he feels alone and dream of home. The mentor advises him that the light is always up and to keep that in mind when he wakes up in the morning, promising that he'll be satisfied. The wrong is always to the right of Julian, and there will always be a war somewhere to fight.
The mentor warns Julian that it probably scares him now, but in the future, it counts, and he must trust him. When things get tough, and Julian is down on his knees screaming, "Oh Lord," the mentor promises to be always there for him. The song encourages Julian to lock this song away for a darker day and keep in mind that he'll be satisfied when he wakes up in the morning. The mentor reinforces that there is always a wrong to his right, and there will always be a war somewhere to fight, as he has had some rough years in his life. The song concludes with the repetition of the phrase, "Oh Lord, oh Lord, keep on keeping on."

This album was seriously overlooked.
I'm buddies with some guys who are professional touring musicians for VERY large acts.
They all LOVE foxy Shazam.
Wrong time/wrong place I guess.
It's a shame. They're fucking amazing.

Eric Nally is the closest person I've ever seen to Freddie Mercury's brilliance. Hoping to see them live one of these days, could only imagine feeling that passion in person

By the way I say this and I was born in the early 90's so admittedly have never seen Freddie live 🤣🤣🤣

Saw him live tonight. He ate 3 lit cigarettes and was somersaulting all over the stage. He went bonkers for like an hour, it was absolutely incredible. Never seen a show like it.

@Kyle Petty I saw these guys open for The Darkness in 2012 in Toronto. Had never heard of them before that. To this day, it was the greatest opening act I've ever seen.

I almost saw them with Panic at the Disco and Patrick Stump. But it was like one of the last shows in the tour and they left that tour to go do a tour in Europe! 😩 such disappoint. That was back in 2011. Though I was also thrilled to see panic! And Patrick. And the replacement opener was a local band that was actually decent. Hmmm I’ll see if I can’t remember them. I know I got them on my iTunes on my old computer

I discovered the band when I saw one of the members of Panic! At the disco wearing the Foxy Shazam White music for black people shirt. That was like 2010-2011. I also ended up buying that shirt still have it somewhere
