Each move in the sequel trilogy has meaning
TFA tells you to unlock your true potential, and see the world through different perspective.
TLJ reminds you to stop living at the past in a negative way, and look to what the future brings.
And TROS tells us that our identity doesn’t always mean bloodline, but how we associate with people.
These three movies aren’t just stories, there lessons

John Williams did not score Rogue One, Solo, or the Clone Wars, even though they used his music. He just scored the nine Skywalker films.

True. Some would say that without Lucas it's also not Star Wars! But at least Rogue 1 and Rebels were good, unlike the new trilogy. How can a trilogy be good when the 2 directors of the 3 movies disagree with each other's vision and plan for the whole thing and express their disagreements through the films? And why was there no coherent plan for the whole trilogy from the start? I am asking you, Kathleen kill the franchise Kennedy!

@BVEfan
I love hearing the piece at 8:55 and 10:18 in the Staff Roll in the final film of the 3 trilogies. It just shows how well the final films of each trilogy end brilliantly and never disappoint me. As a Jedi fan, I just find it hard to cope at the end of Episode III when the 2 remaining surviving Jedi Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda go into hiding on Tatooine and Dagobah to avoid having their presence sensed by the Sith. But overall the Sith are all wiped out in Episode VI and Episode IX that really made me so happy and the Jedi return at last with a new generation being trained.

How on earth didn't John Williams win the academy awards this year? IMO this film score is amazing!
@nymetswinws
His talent if way beyond needing any more awards as this point in his life.
@hugocastilla3102
The Oscar isn't a very trustable award. Also TROS wasn't as iconic as other Star Wars scores (despite it was the only part of the film I loved)
@metalheadjock3513
The ONLY reason is because they seemingly HAVE to give the award to someone just so that Williams doesn't win every time... Even though he truly won. I'm not just gushing, listen to HIS scores vs. The scores has put against. He wins, in my mind every time.

Its cool how John Williams implemented the Imperial March into this song. It was a perfect decision for the closing song to the Skywalker Saga. 40 years into the making and we still end where it all began.
@FlamingIbis
Years I've been listening to these themes: 1977-2020.
@frenchtoast4491
You can be a fan of any star wars trilogy like the prequels, originals and sequels but you gotta admit john Williams is a freaking legend

So maul predicted what we all hoped would happen. If Disney didn’t end the trilogy in the binary sunset I would be pissed
@miguelcorreia6777
@Crusade man it was actually a binary sunrise, which I think it's kinda cool.
@guyr3618
Didn't it begin on Naboo?
@jmc4766
Gotta admit that was a good line.🤘

I don't care what anyone else says, I love this movie. Yes it has its problems and plot holes, but at the end of the day so does almost every other Star Wars movie, yet we don't hear any complaints about those movies. This movie was action packed and a great way to end this saga. I walked in with a smile and left with a bigger one. Probably one of my new favorite movies in the saga.
@joec7217
Same
@dylanseah7161
No movie is perfect even Citizen Kane.
@adammartinez8061
Notice how 0:45 and 1:02 doesn’t repeat like they usually did in the previous movies as well as
It really is the end of the saga.
0:54 and 1:22 Really brings that feeling of finality.
@billaquino8668
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was the culmination of every battle fought before, but the stakes were raised to the highest they had ever been, with all the light side facing all the dark side. The battle ultimately came down to Rey and Darth Sidious with all of his Sith power against her, but Rey won the day with her friends and the Jedi behind her. This proved that defeating true evil cannot be done alone.
@bendelikta1858
Happy Birthday, John Williams.
@petercallaghan1740
These movies sure were a ‘Rey’ of sunshine
@damianparra6236
Star Wars is not going to be the same with out John Williams. 43 years making the different themes of Star Wars? Thank you John William’s

@bugjuggernaut7510
What’s sad is that everyone in the Star Wars fandom are just hating these movies because Disney is making them. So what? They still feel just as good as the other movies, at least for me.
@cabooseisthevehicledestroy
They have lessons but they were made poorly
@cabooseisthevehicledestroy
@BugJuggernaut It's because Rey is just written to be perfect and has a terrible story now the Prequels are shit as well until they made the Clone Wars Show Ahsoka was hated but she earned the respect cause she had struggles she had purpose and wasn't a fucking Mary Sue

Hate this movie all you like, but there is NO denying how iconic John Williams’s score for this film is.

3:25 To those of us that stayed in the theater and heard this out of nowhere, I congratulate you.
@lordvader3644
Smashball Face ye I stayed for the whole credits. Loved the music... the ending was god awful tho.
@webzter2661
@Lord Vader It wasn't awful, but I think it could have used some work. She should have said Palpatine and brought justice to his name.
@amoatlaetoh
@Smashball Face yea i was expecting she to say Rey Palpatine instead of Rey Skywalker, but the rest of the movie was pretty good.
@Vasif_Bugrahan_Alparslan
This, the title crawl and the little guy that was programming 3PO showing up in the final battle were the only times the movie made me smile tbh

One thing I enjoy the heck out of John Williams is his ability to be able to keep to that classic, Hollywood sound that so dominant in the 1930s. With many people scoring music off of computers, and using synths, synths, and more synths, John Williams is old-school, taking full advantage of the entire orchestra. How many scores out there today use woodwinds as much as John Williams does? How many scores today are able to bring neoclassicism, yet make it modern (Rey's Theme, using the English Horn, the Oboe, and the Bassoon to open the introduction, rather than the vibraphone, originally)?
As a composer studying his music, and one who is inspired by Mr. Williams, I feel it is an obligation that, despite the heavy use of computerized music, that we continue to keep the full, orchestral scoring techniques alive. Historically speaking, Hollywood essentially abandoned the classic, sweeping scores, like Ben-Hur, Laurence of Arabia, and even King Kong (scored by Max Steiner). In 1958, classical, sweeping scores descended, quickly, until John Williams brought the style back to life with his score to his FIRST Star Wars film, in 1977. With the heavy synth scores going on today, I hope there is a composer, who, like John Williams, revives the classic, Hollywood score...once more.
@bryanmanuelbaes7871
when you search "Star wars Finale" you would expect a scene from the movies, but john williams' score shows up at the top.
that's how much impact his music is to Star Wars.
@christophergrathwohl9862
Thank you John Williams
@ct--tr4fq
No matter how good a Star Wars movie can be, John Williams is always so awesome. No matter 1 year ago, or 40, John Williams makes great themes. This is just some of them: Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Home Alone, and Superman (1978). Thanks John Williams.
@dariaalexandra5232
I love John Williams and his music. He is a legend. ❣
@dancastro9274
Yes he is
@jakers918
John Williams is “all the composers”.
@dancastro4732
Dude, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Cliff Eidelman, Leonard Rosenman, Dennis McCarthy, and Bill Conti as well as Michael Giacchino are legends. Jerry Goldsmith was the John Williams when it came to the music of Star Trek The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis. James Horner who scored The Wrath Of Khan and The Search For Spock, Leonard Rosenman who scored The Voyage Home, Cliff Eidelman who scored The Undiscovered Country, Michael Giacchino who scored Rogue 1 and the Kelvin Era Trek movies, Dennis McCarthy who scored Star Trek Generations and many Next Generation episodes and Bill Conti who scored the 1980s Karate Kid movies as well as The Next Karate Kid are legends. I won't mention James Horner scoring the 2010 Karate Kid remake because even though the score is good the movie does not exist in this dojo DOES IT?!!
@dancastro4732
Oliver Nelson and Jerry Fielding who scored The Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman were good too. My favorite Six Million Dollar Man episodes are and will forever be the ones that had Lee Majors's late ex wife and our Angel Farrah Fawcett on them and The Seven Million Dollar Man. Bionic Woman episodes I like the best? The third season when she had Max her German Sheppherd and the season 3 two parter Fembots In Vegas

my dad grew up with star wars. the first movie came out when he was 4, and he spend most of his childhood hooked on it. he spent a lot of time watching it with my mom when they were dating, and he showed us both the star wars movies.
the fact that this entire story lasted through half of my parents lives and me and my brothers childhood is impressive.
@lukeypup95productions53
The saga has come to a conclusion, although the story lives on forever. Thank you for over 40 years of classic Star Wars scores, Mr John Towner Williams!

The Star Wars' final themes are like the National Anthem: you must stay there until the end, you must pay respects with pride and joy. Although I didn't like this Movie, I had and wanted to stay to hear this beautiful work of art... And the feeling is just priceless... Thanks, Maestro. Thanks, John Williams.

@jpr26407
I have multiple reasons, why I love Star Wars is:
1. John Williams is a Composer.
2. The saga began 1977.
3. My 2015 hit is: The Force Awakens.
4. My 2017 hit is: The Last Jedi.
5. My 2019 HIT is: The Rise of Skywalker.
6. My favorite slogan is: "May the Force be with You!"
7. I might see 2023, 2025 and 2027 films.
8. The music is performed by The London Symphony Orchestra.
9. In 2005, Formula 1 used the Star Wars Red Bull cars for the promotion for the movie premiere: Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

The reasons why this movie is flawed:
1. Bad writing
2. Two-dimensional characters
3. No character development
4. Poor character arcs
5. Weak character relationships
6. Plot holes
7. Dumb ending/conclusion
8. Very stupid villain
Final verdict: D+
