Magazines claim that anyone who doesn't look like a certain 'ideal' body type is either unhealthy or unattractive. But that's not true - those standards are unhealthy and unrealistic, and the critics who perpetuate them are the ones who are truly messed up.

Just like the first verse, I was born with my body parts as they are, and I'll die with them this way too. You continue to insult me with no creativity and no boundaries, but if you keep it up I may have to get physical with you.

Its been close too ten years since I've first had this cd and it never gets old I first came across my ruin when they did a show with jessica from jack off jill got this cd signed by the members of the band her and the guitarist were cool about it. Definitely one of my all time favorite bands check out here and her and the guitarist's spoken word work its good as well.

@purple beagle I saw JoJ in the UK when they were support for someone I've forgotten but was never overly fond of. I actually went to the gig for the support only! lol I was too ill to see them during their reunion.
I've seen My Ruin& Tura Satana, once each, the latter when Tarrie had pneumonia. There was a guy in the audience being a sexist pig & she wiped the floor with him. That was in a place called Rio's in a neighbouring city, a brilliant venue which is closed down now. There's nowhere great for gigs any more in my area, imo. They're all ridiculously large & impersonal or too small to hold a decent sized audience. It's incredible for such a large city.
