24:15 I love how even during the build up of the orchestral theme, you can see all of the cast talking to one another at the table like they’re having a real conversations that makes me believe I can hear them all while the actual focus of the shot is Pomni having the true realization that this isn’t a dream and she’s actually stuck in the Digital Circus. I think that builds the sense of scope in where all the other characters have come to terms to their situation and still attempt to live a somewhat normal life at the Digital Circus while also understanding that Pomni was definitely not the first person to act like this and that everyone else at the table probably had their own realization moment. I hope this gets picked up by an actual tv production studio or gets the support to continue making more episodes!

In a world where animation, as a medium, gets spit on by hollywood. Yeah. My theory is that he was once human and he's the one that made the Digital Circus. It was supposed to span the entire digital realm but he very quickly ran out of ideas so the realm is 99.9999% void. Somewhere out there in the void is an actual exit (which is why the other exit door eventually lead into the void) but there's no path to it and anyone that tried to find it would abstract long before finding it.

Ya know, there's something really unpleasantly striking my backside about what you said. This is purely conjecture, but maybe Caine does care. I mean, digital things like games only have glitches and bugs if their creator didn't have or want to have the time to actually fix the issues. It could be possible that Caine was made, and only made to care about his players if caring kept them in... whatever this is, simulation, game, whatever.

What could be really interesting is if Bubble was actually more "in charge" than Caine. Caine doesn't really tell Bubble what to do, just kinda goes and does it or is already doing it as or before Caine says to do it. And what would better drive home to someone else that they're in charge than to allow them to feel that way? Again, pure speculation, but it would be pretty interesting

God the psychological trigger of having a home made meal is incredibly powerful. AMAZING, this is just what the aesthetics of educational programs are in the Y2K era. a world so striking, familiar, at the same time hostile, cold, and unfriendly. And the fact that a real person reacts so disconcerted to being here forever is naturally sad, and at the same time comical. Without a doubt, a huge collaboration of 2 artists who have a great spark, I really appreciate it and I hope the first episode has light.

It isn't much, and I don't have much, but I purchased a Pomni plush just to try and help fund for that full season. This is a wonderful project, an amazing step in 3D animation. Caine is literally a 3d modeling and design marvel that 100% needs to be studied by future generations of 3D artists.

You've successfully figured out how to use both his mouth for talking and for showing facial expression at the same time, without compromising the audio dubbing. It still thoroughly feels like he's talking, while the mouth can not only be raised or lowered to show expression, but also using the eyes with cartoonish gestures and movements to show expression without an eye socket just shows an expertise at design and direction. Extremely well done.

I absolutely need more of this. The comedy is right up my alley, the premise is absolutely terrifying, the characters are really damn fun, and the aesthetic of everything is so fucking creative. I just hope the series doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. If it can do that and keep this consistent quality we will have a complete masterpiece in our hands

Not too many people have actually been in that stereotypical isekai place where you say to yourself "this is a dream, that's the only explanation," and then you realize that it's not a dream, and in that moment you don't know what's real anymore.

But Pomni's reaction to it seemed the most real I've ever seen. Oh and especially her portrayal at the end.

There's something about this that perfectly encapsulates the weird, off-kilter charm of obscure old CD-ROM games. The way Caine and Bubble speak, how they present and over-explain everything like old PC games, the layout of the tent and the grounds, and the completely wild character designs; It captures the aesthetic to a T. Bravo and great work to everyone involved! I can't wait to see more!

This was like experiencing a dream.
Not just in the sense that the content is surreal, this whole thing had such a specific atmosphere that you rarely see recreated so perfectly. This is how a dream feels after you've realized it's a dream but before you're quite awake. Everything from the sound design to the lighting to the weightless CGI is straight out of a semi-lucid dream.

There is so much to unpack, I have no clue where to start. I love how gooseworx managed to capture the abstract terror of amnesia and the terror of the unknown. The characters are so charming. The hints to the lore like the hallway doors, Cofmo’s abstraction, the back rooms, the void, the computer Pomni recognized, the logo, so many secrets! I can’t wait!

I love the way the scenarios play out and how they're depicted like it's some little silly shenanigan. The very idea of any of these characters suddenly becoming "abstracted" and having their mind fall apart and lose all sense of the person they once were can happen with absolutely no way of fixing them once they get to that state and everyone just plays it off like it's some accident in the workspace by the end and nothing more. Even Caine just sort of puts Kaufmo away like sweeping some mess under a rug, which from seen in the cellar, isn't the first time this has happened. Good stuff overall, can't wait to see where this series goes when the next episode comes out in like 4-6 years

Just noticed this on my third rewatch but as they’re passing the room doors we see not just NPC placeholders but previous characters crossed out; there’s one that looks to be a recolor of Kinger so perhaps he didn’t go in alone but his partner lost their mind along the way. When Pomni sees herself in the mirror, it's the ONE AND ONLY REACTION from her that isn't panicked or bewildered... its eerily calm, like her "new" appearance is FAMILIAR to her. That's kinda why I think her avatar was set up by the version of her who put on the headset, or that her new form is something that she was subconsciously aware of before. I'll be honest: I had no idea who this was made by, or what it was, until I went and checked it out for myself. I had heard of it way prior to its actual release, I think? But I never saw anything about it until now. This is an absolute masterpiece, and I loved all of it. The animation feels alive, and concepts feel adapted very well into its own universe, as expected. I hope there's more to see soon, because I loved it.
