Baby go
In another day, other life,
Turn around
I had sweet days
Even if you weren't there for me
(You weren't there for me)
Just turn around turn around
Baby go
In another day, other life
Even if you weren't there for me
(You weren't there for me)
Just turn around turn around
Baby go
In another day, other life
Baby I love you,
Baby I need you
Just turn around turn around
Baby go
In another day, other life
Just turn around turn around
Baby go
In another day, other life,
Just turn around turn around
Baby go
Don't you leave me by my side
I will let you know
The lyrics of "TURN AROUND" by 倖田來未 express feelings of longing and regret in a past relationship. The singer is reminiscing about a summer love and the memories associated with it. The phrase "Just turn around turn around, Baby go" represents the singer's desire for their former partner to return to their life and go back to the person they were with before. It signifies their yearning for a second chance or to reignite the love they once shared.
The lyrics also suggest that the singer cherished the moments they spent together and enjoyed the person their partner was at that time. However, they acknowledge that their actions might have caused hurt or distance between them. The line "Even if you weren't there for me, (You weren't there for me), that was my fault, hurting you, love vanished in the wind," reveals the singer's realization that they may have played a role in the relationship's breakdown.
The lyrics continue to convey the singer's desire for their former partner's attention and affection. They feel that their partner may not be aware of their allure and the depth of their feelings. The singer observes their partner from behind and expresses how they have noticed even the smallest details in their expressions and gestures, alluding to their intimate knowledge of their partner's character and personality. They long for their partner to see and appreciate these things about them.
The last paragraph suggests that the singer was once afraid of loving their partner, but now they feel ready to openly express their feelings. The phrases "Baby I love you, Baby I need you, life with you, no one else can replace you, is it too late?" convey the singer's desperation and plea for their partner to understand their love and the importance of reconnecting. The lyrics conclude with the repeated line "Just turn around turn around, Baby go, Don't you leave me by my side, I will let you know," emphasizing the singer's urgency and determination to make their feelings and intentions known.
Overall, "TURN AROUND" portrays the singer's nostalgia for a past love, their acknowledgment of their own mistakes, and their hope for a second chance at love with their former partner.
