BUCK-TICK and Atsushi Sakurai are considered to be a few of the founding fathers of the Japanese music genre/style movement "Visual Kei". BUCK-TICKファンに出戻って、あっちゃんソロもやったのかぁ、とこの「SACRIFICE」を聴いたとき、今この時代にここまで80年代正統派ゴスを再現できるものか!？と頭の中がぶっ飛ぶくらい驚き、嬉しすぎて大興奮であっちゃんに大賛辞のコメントを送りました。
何度聴いても、あのノスタルジックで刹那的、胸が締め付けられるような感情がブワーッと沸き上がる素晴らしい曲です。バンシーズやコクトーツインズ等と肩を並べる曲と思いますが、作曲もTHE MISSIONのwayne husseyとくれば、あっちゃん、凄いソロを出していたんだね…。
もっともっと評価されていい曲だと思っていますし、この世界観を生み出すボーカリスト櫻井敦司をもっと世界中に聴いてほしいです。
