母が掃除しながら歌ってました。
戦時下にあった時代の歌とのことですが、何てきれいな曲でしょうか。
国民が戦争の道まっしぐらの時代だったかもしれませんが、
戦争が好きな人間など誰一人いないと思います。
考えると、
退廃してワケわからんようになってる今の時代より余程まともな時代だったのかもしれない。😢

父は激戦地フィリピンから復員直後病に倒れ某国立病院に入院、そして看護婦だった母と結ばれた頃の若かりし亡き両親の姿を思い浮かべながら聞いています。こんな清らかで美しい曲が似合う日本の国に生まれた事に感謝しています。

大東亜戦争に従軍していた父は満ソ国境の興安嶺で、慰問にきた渡辺はま子さんの歌を聞いた、と生前語っていました。きっとこの「愛国の花」も聞いたことでしょう。戦地にあっては、これといった楽しみもない将兵が、この渡辺さんの慰問によって、どれ程慰められ、励まされたことでしょう。一口に慰問といっても、いつ敵の強襲を受け生命を失うかも知れないのに、進んで慰問を行なわれた渡辺さんの姿には、〝祖国と同胞〝に対する深い愛情を思わずにはいられません。

ソ満国境から避難して引き揚げてきました。戦後何度も興安嶺を含む中国・ロシア国境周辺を旅し、興安嶺の雰囲気がよくわかるだけに当時を思い出します。この曲は中朝国境近くの収容所で若い人達が歌っていて覚えました。思い出の曲です。S10年生まれ。
