Born in Los Angeles in 1998 and raised in Kyoto (Japan), Anna's bicultural background makes her fluent both in English and Japanese. She started writing songs when she was in grade school, taking guitar lessons when she was 13 years old, performing in public at the age of 15, and held her succesful solo show during her 1st year of high school.

She self-released her first album in 2014, when she was 16. In order to suport the album, she organized her own shows in Kyoto and Osaka. While continuing her own shows regularly, she also performed at many events and won awards at notable contests. Her fluent acoustic guitar playing and singing both in Japanese and English, combined with her soulful voice attracted various attention.

In June 2017, Anna beat more than 10,000 contestants after winning an audition contest hosted by Sony Music Artists and Teichiku Entertainment. In March 2018, she performed at SXSW 2018. In August 2018, she made her major debut with the release of her first EP, at ONE, which featuring 3 original tracks and one cover track. Emerging as the next generation singer-song-writer, Anna sings songs holding hopes and anxieties, swinging between freedom and responsibilities, and resonating with the people of the same generation.
