Nishino debuted as a member of Nogizaka46's first generation in 2012 with the single "ぐるぐるカーテン" (Guruguru Curtain). She has since become a permanent fixture at the front of Nogizaka46 and was one of two members to sing a solo on their first album, a track titled "ひとりよがり" (Hitori Yogari).
