MBLAQ (Korean: 엠블랙, Japanese: エムブラック; an acronym for Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality) is a South Korean quintet male vocal group created by South-Korean entertainer Rain under J.Tune Camp. The group consists of Seungho, G.O, Lee Joon, Cheondung, and Mir. The group debuted on October 9, 2009, at Rain's Legend of Rainism concert.

On October 14, 2009, the group released their debut single album, Just BLAQ, which topped various online and offline music charts in South Korea.[1] The group then released their first extended play album Y on May 19, 2010, and on January 10, 2011, MBLAQ released their first studio album, BLAQ Style.
In 2012, J. Tune Camp announced that MBLAQ members Mir and G.O will split into a sub-unit. The sub-unit was originally going to debut back in May, but since MBLAQ got their first Asia Tour and G.O's filming of Phantom. Yet the sub-unit didn't get a name and their debut was postponed. But on MBLAQ's first Asia Tour, the sub-unit released their first single, Wild.

How to make this song go on trend? Like when it first came out in 2013 it didn't really get the recognition it deserved and also was so much a head of it's time and it was a new style for MBLAQ (like they always came back with new genres). on the bright side, as long as new people are getting into kpop, there will always be those willing to check out older songs. i got into kpop in 2012 but grew to love older songs from artists like shinhwa, seotaiji, lee jung hyun and baby v.o.x. and nowadays the b-sides to 2nd gen songs are more accessible than ever.

i saw MBLAQ perform live in Australia and let me tell you - when they announced that the next song they were going to sing was 'smoky girl' every single person in the stadium lost it. Lee Joon was the reason I got into Kpop, I saw him and Rain in Ninja Assassin and then I found MBLAQ and I've been a KPOP fangirl ever since and it has really changed my life I plan on going to Korea after I graduate college and teaching english. I am really grateful to God that I found out about Korea because it has seriously changed my life. I am SO sad that Lee Joon is leaving MBLAQ but I respect his decision and I will always be grateful that I watched that movie and Lee Joon caught my attention because my life would be so different right now if I had not been introduced into this world of Korea.
