My dad would always play this for me when i was younger because my name is Susana, but his nickname for me was always "my Suzie Q", or "my Q"... he recently passed away before his birthday and i had not spoken to him for almost three years before he did due to a big argument. I was regretful and in denial, but holding on to good memories has helped and this song brings back the best times i've had with him. I love you daddy, i will always be your Suzie Q.

Born in 1958, this is what I grew up listing to. 9 years old and listening to this on a little red hand held Transistor Radio in a little town called Darrtown, Ohio. Living in a dysfunctional home where both parents drank heavily this was my escape. At a time of every child's life where he invited his/her friends to their home that wasn't the case for me. I never wanted my friends to see how my family was. If you have a child that never brings his friends to your home there is a reason for it and it's not because of your child!

I doubt any band, even the Beatles, has ever had a 2 year reign of dominance like CCR did. and if it hadn't been for the band members being massive assholes and hating each other, forcing the band to shit out their worst ever album and to break up right when they were poised to take over for the Beatles as the biggest band in the world, they'd have been even bigger.
