Live It Up
220 Volt Lyrics

I say, what's the rush,
I mean, twenty will certainly do
Could be rockin' with a good time
Girl you're really getting old
Drop that mask you're wearing
Roll, roll over and go
Your body's gonna party alright
Taking everybody home
Turn the music up, live it up
Tear down the walls and live it up
Twenty years from now it's too late to cry
It's only time, you know, money can't buy
You ain't forever young girl,
Put on your party face
Stop messing with them "blind" boys
Who got their brains in a case
Taking everybody home
Your body's gonna party alright
Taking everybody home
Turn the music up, live it up
Chorus
I guess you know your life is changing
And now you head for "closing time"
Taking everybody home
Your body's gonna party alright
Taking everybody home
Turn the music up, live it up
Chorus
These lyrics are all about living in the moment and enjoying life to the fullest. The song warns against getting caught up in the monotony and routine of everyday life and instead encourages the listener to let loose and have fun. The opening lyrics speak directly to someone who is acting older than they actually are, implying that they need to loosen up and enjoy life while they are still young enough to do so. The next section reinforces the message that time is fleeting and that the listener shouldn't waste any time getting out there and experiencing life.
The chorus reinforces these ideas, with the repeated line "Taking everybody home" suggesting that the listener is going to make sure everyone has a great time and lives it up to the fullest. The verse that states, "I guess you know your life is changing and now you head for 'closing time'" implies that the listener is starting to realize that time is passing them by and they need to take advantage of every opportunity to have fun while they still can.
Overall, this song is a reminder to enjoy life while you can and not get too caught up in the more mundane aspects of living. It's a reminder to let loose and have fun, to tear down the walls that might be holding you back and really live life to the fullest.
