I have a 21 Silverado with the same Flow FX set up. If I had to do it over again, I’d definitely leave the flapper valve in. It sounds terrible when the truck switches to 4 cylinder mode.

Exhaust guy elsewhere recommended Flow FX on my 22" Sierra HD. 3 inch inlet and dual 2.5 outlet. It was a little much for my taste. Went to Flowmaster 70 series and it's perfect for my liking. FX had noticeable drone 1500 to 1800 RPM's , nothing on the 70 series. I suspect if my truck had resonators, it would be a different outcome, but since it doesn't i had to go with more muffler. Wish I'd saw this video first, even though my truck is an HD gas, engine is not much bigger than the 6.2! Nice video.

@Dustin Cady hmm no there’s a difference…. This truck is a 6.2l v8 that’s brand new and running perfect, the “hillbilly truck” you’re talking about is running on 3 cylinders with a cracked block and running open headers.

AWE Performance has a (true) dual exhaust conversion kit, and it comes with an H pipe. It's also pricey at $2300. But it sounds the best IMO.

Just listen to a new Camaro SS with an h. Same engine essentially, minus a couple things for obvious reasons. Sounds similar once you take all the restrictive crap out of the trucks

$200 just to cut off 2 resonators? Are you serious? Geez you don't use but 2 feet of pipe combined to replace both sides. Love your videos as always but geez your high. I've had a full length exhaust 2.5in done for less with top notch work and welds. As your work is as well but that's high dude.

I got my 2 mufflers installed and 2 pipes out the rear for 150 . Just to cut those out and replace it with a pipe for 200 is nuts

From Dallas tx and here they charge 50 to cut off a muffle and slap a pipe on to replace it

@JayJay exactly why it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg for exhaust that is not that expensive. I deal in exhaust enough to know what I'm talking about.
