6.2 Lyrics

(Sing this with me, this is "40")

Waited patiently for the Lord
Inclined and heard my cry
He lift me up out of the pit
Out of the mire and clay

I will sing, sing a new song
I will sing, sing a new song

How long to sing this song?
How long to sing this song?
How long, how long, how long
How long to sing this song?

He set my feet upon a rock
And made my footsteps firm
Many will see
Many will see and hear

I will sing, sing a new song
I will sing, sing a new song

(Sing it)

How long to sing this song?
How long to sing this song?
How long, how long, how long
How long to sing this song?

Thank you, good night!

(How long to sing this song?)
(How long to sing this song?)
(How long to sing this song?)
(How long to sing this song?)
(How long to sing this song?)

(How long to sing this song?)
(How long to sing this song?)

Overall Meaning

The song "40" by U2 is based on Psalm 40 from the Bible. The lyrics describe waiting patiently for God to intervene in times of distress and how God lifted the singer out of the difficulties they had faced. The singer then expresses a desire to sing a new song, possibly indicating a sense of renewal and hope that has been instilled in them. The repeated question of "how long to sing this song?" could signify a sense of longing for the pain to be resolved, or for the joy and hope to continue on.

gotta hear the 40 series with the no resonator but the flow fx sounded amazing nice deep rumble I wanna hear the new Chevys with a y pipe no muffler

I have a 21 Silverado with the same Flow FX set up. If I had to do it over again, I’d definitely leave the flapper valve in. It sounds terrible when the truck switches to 4 cylinder mode.

Chad Ward

Exhaust guy elsewhere recommended Flow FX on my 22" Sierra HD. 3 inch inlet and dual 2.5 outlet. It was a little much for my taste. Went to Flowmaster 70 series and it's perfect for my liking. FX had noticeable drone 1500 to 1800 RPM's , nothing on the 70 series. I suspect if my truck had resonators, it would be a different outcome, but since it doesn't i had to go with more muffler. Wish I'd saw this video first, even though my truck is an HD gas, engine is not much bigger than the 6.2! Nice video.

Red Rocket

great videos man! was able to pick the exhaust for my new gmc truck just watching your videos!

What did you go with?

Chosen Won

First thing I’d do is have those pesky resonators gone!!

Sadie O'Leary

Will the flowFx setup work for a 21 as well? Same part number?

Anybody noticed how shitty these welds look or just my welder eyes ?

Jay C

Doesn’t sound too bad but A little louder would be great.

All the new GM v8s don’t sound as throaty as I wish. They all kind of sound stuffy and full of unused air
