The song "Close to Heaven" by 88GLAM is a hip hop track that expresses the joys and problematics of enjoying the lavish lifestyle of fame and wealth. The first verse illustrates the excessive and arrogant behaviors of the singer with his Bentley truck and flashy attire. The line, "Shine just like the sun shitting on them got the runs," suggests that his extravagant lifestyle is causing some negative consequences. The singer also mentions the money he earns and how he spends it on expensive items while his mother warns him against being too flashy. He also acknowledges that his behavior is a way to flaunt his wealth and status. The second verse continues to talk about the singer's success and how he is still trying to figure out his next steps. He also talks about his encounters with women who want to be with him for fame and how he struggles to keep genuine relationships. In the end, the singer expresses his loneliness despite his lavish lifestyle with the line, "No ones that stayed, they never changed."
