1) Ai Carina Uemura (植村愛カリーナ, born November 2, 1981), known mononymously as Ai, is a Japanese-American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, spokeswoman, and actress. She is known in Japan as the "Queen of Hip Hop Soul". Her best-selling single is "Story", a sleeper hit from her fourth studio album, Mic-a-holic Ai. Since 2000, she has released twelve studio albums. She is currently signed to Universal Music sublabel EMI Records.
