AM Conspiracy (AMC for short) arose, phoenix-like, out of the ashes of Orlando-based rock group Canvas. Their nascent sound so impressed vocalist Jason "Gong" Jones, who'd just come off three years on the road as lead singer for Platinum act Drowning Pool, that he jumped at the opportunity to front the group. Two years and one name change later, AM Conspiracy's "While You Were Sleeping" is the ultimate end-product of the quintet's determination, patience and creative expression.
Jones, a South Carolina native, initially moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry. He soon befriended Ming "Lucky" Cheng, brother of Deftones bassist Chi Cheng, who bestowed upon Jones the nickname "Gong." Jones quickly established himself in Los Angeles, both as a respected tattoo artist in the daytime and while performing with bands along the Sunset Strip at night. In 2002 he signed on as lead singer of the Platinum-selling metal band Drowning Pool in the wake of the tragic death of original vocalist Dave Williams. Scarcely missing a beat, over the next three years he helped the group earn a pair of top "Billboard" singles.
Despite the success, all was not well. "The situation was making me miserable," confesses Jones, detailing his decision to split from Drowning Pool. "While it did give me the opportunity to meet some really great musicians, such as Dimebag Darrell, I found myself sickened by the feelings of selling out. I didn't get into this business for the purpose of being a one-dimensional songwriter. That's not what true rock & roll is about and that's not what I'm about."
Happily, after completing his final tour with Drowning Pool Jones found his next musical passion: AM Conspiracy. The dual-axe attack of guitarists Brian Diemar and Clint Campbell, complemented by a rockin' rhythm section comprised of bass player Kenny Harrelson and highly acclaimed drummer Dean Andrews, proved to be an irresistible lure for the well-traveled singer.
In January 2007 Jones and Diemar commenced producing debut album "While You Were Sleeping," collaborating with co-producer Rae DiLeo (Filter and Army of Anyone). "Rae DiLeo has been a personal friend of mine for over 15 years; we go way back," observes Diemar. "When Jason and I discussed producing our debut album, we instantly thought about asking Rae if he would be interested in our project. We went over to his studio and played him the demos. He loved what he heard and agreed that we had something really special going on. From that point on Rae was involved in the complete process, traveling coast to coast to record and working around the clock."
"AM Conspiracy is bringing back the rock," enthuses DiLeo, "with big guitars and heavy, melodic vocals--things that are desperately needed on modern radio today. They go from sublime sonic tapestries to heavy guitars that will tear your head off, while Jason's voice adds the perfect finishing touch. I enjoyed the entire process and am so pleased to say I was a part of it."
AM Conspiracy's first single, "Far," has already been favorably received by the listeners of XM Radio's premier Rock station, SQUIZZ, where it currently resides in regular rotation--weeks prior to its official release. Unconcerned with being glued to any genre and determined to stay true to the type of music they want to make, AM Conspiracy is certain to appeal to a wide range of the music-loving masses.
Dead And Gone
AM Conspiracy Lyrics

Part of me is over
I guess it's my own sacrifice
Part of me's grown colder
I still recall the pain
In you eyes, it's all I see
I Still recall the way you were
Time moves on... and soon you're gone
Time moves on... dead and gone
I live this life a thousand times
Make the same mistakes, such crimes
I guess I must be going blind
My eyes are surely bleeding
I still recall the pain
My scars are there for all to see
There's no one else to blame
'Cause all the blame, should be placed on me
Time moves on... and soon you're gone
Time moves on... yeah... yeah!...
Time moves on... and soon you're gone
Time moves on... yeah... yeah!...
...Yeah gone! ...gone ...gone ...rehh-oh!

The song "Dead and Gone" by AM Conspiracy, explores the pain and regret of losing someone important in one's life. The opening lines, "I search my soul far and wide, Part of me is over, I guess it's my own sacrifice" depicts the search for inner peace while acknowledging the loss of something significant. The lyrics suggest that a part of the singer has died with the departed and it is their way of paying a price and moving forward in life.
The second stanza reveals the emotional turmoil of the singer as they "still recall the pain, in your eyes, it's all I see." The pain is a constant reminder of the loss, evident in the lines "Time moves on, and soon you're gone." The cyclical nature of life is repeated in the song, resulting in the realization that life is short and uncertain before we reach the refrain of "dead and gone."
The final section of the song deals with self-guilt and the repeated mistakes, "I live this life a thousand times, make the same mistakes, such crimes." The lyrics express the idea that the singer has allowed their personal flaws to overshadow the relationship and as such, they become blind to the faults in their actions. The chorus repeats the message that time passes, and our loved ones leave us- we must come to terms with it and move on while acknowledging the pain and the memories.

I talked to Jason a few years ago. He's a tattoo artist in Miami, FL. This looks like the last of his singing career sadly. I loved this fucking bad. This album got me through so much shit.

єvєrчday αtrσcítчTM I'm sure funding is not the problem bro. There must be personal or creative differences. Sadly :(

Maybe we should start a Go-Fund-Me for AM Conspiracy. Maybe do some networking to were we could get support from fans, sponsors etc. It's not crazy to think they could get bigger than Drowning Pool to say the least.

What got me hooked on this band was "Welt" and I heard it on a video game of all things. I'm assuming you did too considering your name "Unretrofied" which is another badass and addictive song from that game's playlist. Then the album came out in 2010 solidifying my love for this band with songs like "Dead and Gone", "Down" and "Absence". The entire album was just phenomenal. I even liked them so much I went and saw them play in a club in 2010. I can't believe they didn't make it big. It blows my mind. They were a million times better than Drowning Pool. I'm assuming you know that Jason was second the front man of Drowning Pool, right? And DP sucked. They had like two good songs before Jason and none worth remembering afterwards. And then you have crappy band after crappy band making it huge with songs that weren't really even that good. Goes to show its who you know and who you blow in show biz. Plus it's ran by the Jews. Fucking bastards have no taste. Fuck Rihanna! I'd like to shove an umbrella up that bitch's cooter and open it.
