Absurd Mind… Read Full Bio ↴"(AbsuЯd) Minds" is a futurepop music band from Germany.
Absurd Minds was formed in 1995 by Stefan Großmann (voice, composing) and Tilo Ladwig (composing, programming, sampling). Musically they were inspired by the EBM of the early 1990s.
Between 1995 and 1999, Absurd Minds released three CD-rs in limited quantities, laying the groundwork for further developments by the band. After a long creative phase their first concert took place at the Dresden club, "Bunker". As a result of this the band came into contact with "Music Cooperation" who subsequently became their management. A recording contract with the label Scanner followed in December 1999. In the meantime, Absurd Minds played in "Electromania II" in Leipzig. The recording for their first single, "Brainwash", and album, "Deception", began in January 2000.
In March, the band played live at the "Nostromo Festival" in Görlitz and opened for the "Electromania III" festival which was part of the "Wave-Gotik-Treffen" 2000. In December their second single, "Come Alive" appeared and in January 2001 they began recording the album "Damn the Lie". During this period the band took on a third member, Timo Fischer, who till then had only played as reinforcement during live performances.
Their third album "The Focus" followed in October 2003, with the singles "Master Builder" and "Herzlos" both doing well in the DAC. Another appearance at the "Wave-Gotik-Treffen" followed in 2004, whilst the fourth Absurd Minds album "Noumenon" was released in November 2005.
Currently, the most recent release from Absurd Minds is the EP "The Cycle" which was released in 2007. According to the bands' website a new album, "Serve or Suffer", is scheduled for 2010.

Absurd Minds Lyrics

They believe that I have a heart of stone
'Cause it doesn't make any difference to me
If it's a grain of sand or if it's a human being
I'm not heartless
You've got to know I ain't got a heart of stone
'Cause I distinguish between truth and illusion
I tell them apart
I remember you, you create the world
Everything you see is a deception
I remember you, you create the world
I'll find my way home
When you think you know it all
You know nothing
When you think you know all
About your life
You know nothing, you start to die
My brain has gotta put together
Pictures of thought and sight
Those constitute the mind
In my mind one resembles the other
There is no chance to grade
The lyrics to Absurd Minds's song Deception delve into the theme of perception and how it can be deceiving. The singer is portrayed as someone who is often misunderstood and believed to be heartless, with a heart of stone. However, the singer refutes this claim by stating that he can distinguish between truth and illusion, hence, he is not heartless.
The chorus, "I remember you, you create the world, everything you see is a deception," suggests that what we believe to be true or real may not necessarily be so. The line "When you think you know it all, you know nothing," emphasizes the idea that self-assuredness can lead to ignorance, and a closed-mindedness that can blind us to other possibilities.
The final lines in the verse, "Those constitute the mind, in my mind one resembles the other, there is no chance to grade," imply that everything we perceive is subjective, influenced by our own mental framework. The singer's journey is to find his way home to the truth and reality, rather than being swayed by illusions and perceptions.

There is no place for deception in a workplace such as false information, forged documents, signatures and tampering with the process. Trust and integrity are the highest levels, promotion and future prospects have no meaning otherwise.
