I woke up after having left youtube on to find this having played about quarter way through. After a few minutes it grabbed my attention so completely that I restarted it and watched it in it's entirety. To be honest - I'm not even certain how I can accurately describe the experience. At 28 years old I recall having basically no drive for school at all. Nothing ever stuck. I'm only now in my late 20s developing the drive to learn and in every aspect I can, it's like a runners high. Knowledge is power holds true metaphorically and a literary sense, that said I can't express how grateful I am to have access to this information for free it's honestly a gift. It's refreshing because I only recently found out a lot of academic information is locked behind a pay wall or requires you to be a student or staff member at an institute this is invaluable to someone like me thank you!

Probably the best documentary on our solar system I have seen. The narration is low key and dense in detail (ladies take note - narrator sounds like Jeremy Irons). Covers all eight planets, the asteriod belt, the minor planets, the Kuiper belt and the Oort cloud. FIVE STARS

This is the best doc I've ever seen on our solar system. The first 20 minutes on Pluto were phenomenal. I met Clyde Taumbaugh back in the late '80s, and knew his ashes were on Horizon, so this touched my heart in a special way. He was so proud then, and would be so proud now. "To infinity and beyond", Mr. Taumbaugh. (From Toy Story) He just might discover Planet X after all.
The rest of the video was equally satisfying, as well. Thank you.
Side note: I will always consider Pluto a planet. After all, the cuneiform tablets from ancient Sumar depict it as such. Right? 🙅‍♀️🤷‍♂️

This documentary is not just another space telly. It is not easy to explain how interconnected everything in the universe is, no matter how we look at it, either through a microscope or telescope and this film does shine some warm light on it all. When you turn the news channel on after watching this, it really does make you feel hopeless for the future of our species, lol.

Every detail told in this video is not just a story but a lot of research work carried by countless scientists and researchers, long hours of working and thinking and lots of mathematics.

I just ran across this channel randomly searching for new documentaries to watch & HOLY SHIT!!!!! I can't believe the way these guys put this content together. It can get really technical at times but even then the way he explains it kinda puts me in a trance. I ended up watching everything they've got on the channel in one night!!!!! Just AMAZING!!! & I Microdose mushrooms daily for my mental health & these documentaries were a real eye opener, ( especially on the mushrooms). Anyway PLEASE KEEP MAKING SUCH MIND BLOWING CONTENT!!! This has to be one of the best documentaries about solar system and most accurate at that. Truly one amazing work that I hope people will understand. You deserve a para-oscar for this one. I for one am truly greatful, and that from a fellow astrophysicist point of view. I'm sure you are into either physics or perhaps some similiar but the amount of accuracy and detailed information given here, speaks of maker PhD level of education. Keep up the good work, and bring universe and truth into peopels home.

Not too sure how i came accross this video because it was 4am roughly and i had a bad nights sleap due to stress. But this helped me relax enough to get some sleap and learn many things too. The detail in this and the narrators relaxing tones kept me captured in an almost calmed asleap/awake state and almost storytelling portrayal kept me there for a full watch / listen of this. The background music soft and relaxing id like to say Well done. And thank you.

It was a must to watch this on my 84 inch high definition 3D tv so I can observe every detail of the experience. It reminds me of the Franklin institute dome theater in Philadelphia and I didn’t have to pay or buy any expensive telescope thanks 🙏

Very good documentary - only flaw was saying New Horizons left on an Atlas rocket (as it in fact did), but showing a Shuttle launch. Also later, the show is about New Horizons, but mostly other probes (Pioneer, Voyager, Cassini, but almost never... New Horizons). For so good a program, it deserved to have had this inconsistency corrected...

10:00 Pluto is absolutely amazing. New Horizons was definitely one of the most successful NASA missions ever. I remember getting the Science magazine after New Horozons and reading all about it. I couldn't believe it. Giant ice mountains. The organic red snow of "tholins" on stuff. That crazy feature the clearly is or was an active geologic thing. looks like a churning frozen lake and it even has icebergs 'floating' in it. the small whispy atmosphere with layers to it. Pluto is so cool (ha)

I stumbled upon this 1.5 hrs. ago... it puts things in a bit of a different perspective. That a planet larger than earth can orbit its sun in DAYS blows my mind! That our little system exists outside of the "norm" for solar systems... and may have been formed in part because of the meandering of a sun-bound gas giant, just seems so random! Honestly, it tears at the dichotomy between our existence being virtually insignificant or being eminently unique and incredibly special! Wow!

So, since I was born the year NASA first tested the Saturn Rocket, same year of Alan Shepard Jr.'s Freedom 7 Mission and the year Yuri took the first manned spin around the block... ("Laika was a brave girl😢)... it's my bedtime! lol Looking forward to the rest of this!

That theory is just that, a theory. Do not forget we once had a theory that the sun circled the earth. There are billions of stars out there. There are other, plausible theories about how our solar system was formed too. We are rather unique, compared to what we can observe at present, but that is not the end of the story.
