In September, 2006, Adelphi was dropped from Drive-Thru Records. It is unknown exactly why this occurred, but some fans suggest their demos (assisted by producer/engineer Matt Thomas) hardly made it past owner Richard Reines’s desk. Almost instantaneously, the band released 3 demos onto their MySpace profile. These demos are more dynamic employing various percussion instruments including Tambourines, Cowbells, and Shakers. Haller switched to bigger shells and different drum tuning. Lichtfuss’ bass tones shifted more to the midrange. Sophocles and Keaton switched exclusively to combo amps of different vintages, and further employed the use of effects as they saw fit.
The band played their last show as Adelphi on December 30, 2007 and three members formed a new band.
Keaton, Haller, Thomas, and Dan Book (of Voodoo Blue) now compose the band The Everlove.

Oppurtunities blow past everyone
by one they go straight through the door
When will I ever have some fun?
I wish tomorrow happened yesterday
too much to lose, to much to complicate
It scares me so to think of whats to come
I guess its all to soon to just assume
that everythings gonna be fine
Not sure exactly why I'm so scared
I guess we'll leave it up to time to decide
I wish tomorrow happened yesterday
too much to lose, to much to complicate
It scares me so to think of what's to come
I don't want to run ahead and throw it all away
I wish tomorrow happened yesterday
too much to lose, to much to complicate
It scares me so to think of whats to come
I don't want to run ahead and throw it all away
(Go!)
I guess it's all too soon (I guess its all too soon)
to just assume thats everythings gonna be fine
The song All Too Soon by Adelphi is about the fear and uncertainty that comes with growing up and facing the future. The first verse sets the tone, with the singer lamenting that life seems to be passing by too quickly and that opportunities are slipping away. The second verse reveals the singer's desire to go back in time and change things, but they're afraid of the consequences that might bring. The chorus repeats the same sentiment, that the future is scary but they don't want to ruin it by rushing ahead too quickly. The final line, "to just assume that everything's gonna be fine," shows that the singer knows they can't control what happens in the future, but they're determined to face it anyway.
The song is relatable to anyone who has faced a major life transition, whether it be going to college, entering the workforce, or starting a family. The fear of the unknown and the worry about making the right choices can be overwhelming, but the song reminds us that it's important to take things one day at a time and not rush into anything without thinking it through. The line "opportunities blow past everyone" is particularly poignant because it speaks to the idea that we only have a limited amount of time to achieve our goals, and it's up to us to seize the moment before it's gone.
