Lost my dad at 14. Cirrhosis. He went to extreme lengths to avoid any of us knowing he was ill.
He began to bleed out of everywhere on Halloween 1998 and went into a coma. They tried to fix him but he was hemophiliac and kept bleeding out.

I was brought in to say goodbye on November 23rd,’98.
He passed on the 24th.

I miss my dad. He was the most beautiful man I have ever seen. He wrote and he knew music better than anyone. I got his vinyl.
I played this song on repeat-it’s not a song about loss but it fit for me-for two weeks.

My husband died when he was 25, I was 27. We had 4 kids under 5 years, twins being 5. I designed his headstone to show the oil rigs of alberta where he worked, and the mountains of BC that he loved. One night I drove to the cemetery in the pouring rain, and this song was playing. I pulled in and saw the headstone had arrived, and my headlights were shining on it, as it laid against the shed, not yet installed. This was 1992, and it's just recently that I can listen to this song, without falling apart. 31 years later.

Shortly after this song was first released, I was at work (cashier/food prep) in an industrial cafeteria. A young man came through my line.. just smiling at me the whole time. After a couple weeks of his flirting with me, he asked me out. His name was Angel. We had a daughter but ended up going our different ways. Fast forward 32 years. He reached out to our family on Facebook. Shortly after he and I started talking on the phone. He lived in the Caribbean. My daughter, granddaughter and I went to visit him October 2022. We were there a few days and then had to go back to our home. Five days later he died suddenly. He and I were making plans to live with each other, getting married, etc. I was devastated. I believe we live on and that our loved ones can communicate with us. He's been sending me signs and one of them is this song. Since he passed, this song has come on the car radio, my SiriusXM app on my phone and tonight, here on my YouTube feed. ❤️🙏

just realized how amazing Aerosmith really is. they are one of the few rock bands who didn't break up and didn't talk trash about women and supported themselves through rehab. most importantly there music is addictive.
