After the break up of Nocte Obducta and the Split EP with the German death metal outfit Fated, AGRYPNIE grew from a solo project to a serious band, which is proved by the first full length album "F51.4". With its cold atmosphere, the debut has casted a spell over many listeners.
Torsten and his new live musicians stage-managed this extraordinary atmosphere on carefully selected concerts.
At this point the sequel "Exit" was already in the making. Due to the completion of the line-up, "Exit" has a much more "organic" sound compared to the debut "F51.4", where Thorsten made use of a drum computer.
With "Exit", AGRYPNIE continue the legacy where Nocte Obducta left the path of atmospheric, innovative black metal.

The lyrics of Agrypnie's song "Und führet mich nicht in Versuchung" tell the story of a person who seems to be battling demons within themselves. The neighbors describe seeing this person standing in a field, appearing to listen intently, or fight desperately, with no shoes on, disheveled and weak. The lyrics imply that the person is struggling because their mind and body are being controlled by demons, with the only solace being the dream of freedom which has decayed and withered away.
The duality of the lyrics, with the first half describing the physical struggle of the person in question and the second half alluding to the emotional battle of living with internal demons, adds a deeper level of complexity to the song. The repetitive and almost hypnotic melody adds to the sense of struggle and desperation conveyed in the lyrics.
