He is best known for his album Ounadikom ("I Call on You) which established him as a pan-Arab nationalist, and his song Ounadikom ("I Call on You") has expressed, like no other song, the Palestinian need for the world's solidarity. He has been referred to as "the voice of freedom" - a well-deserved title.
Kaabour explains, "When I composed Ounadikom at an age of nineteen, I then leaped over my age, my feelings and my life; my songs and the war were ahead of me. And here I am - since the occupation took place - enduring a fatal leisure that pushes me to genuinely explore love and man. I do not wish to be a minute object in a consumary system, or a bad witness of reality... "

The lyrics of Ahmad Kaabour's song "Ya Sitti" paint a picture of a war-torn city where the singer pleads with his grandmother, Sitti, to take cover from the shelling that is occurring around them. The repetition of the phrase "Likey Likey" emphasizes the urgency of the situation and the need for Sitti to listen to the pleas of her loved one. The lyrics also express a sense of frustration towards the people who are launching the shells and their disregard for the innocent lives being affected by their actions. The line "tell them to throw the shells far away from the front lines" indicates that the singer believes the shelling is unnecessary and could be avoided.
The second verse of the song touches on the pain and loss that the singer and his community are facing as a result of the conflict. The mention of a missing person, Mahmoud, and the sadness in Sitti's eyes convey the human cost of war. The plea for an explanation as to why Sitti is wearing black clothes and why there are tears in her eyes speaks to the confusion and emotional toll that war takes on those who are caught in its crosshairs. Overall, the song is a poignant portrayal of the devastation caused by war and its impact on innocent civilians.
