With their colliding musical stylings, and experimental vocals, Akissforjersey doesn't seek to stand out of the crowd; they tower above it. In the same vain as such progressive artists as The Mars Volta, Akissforjersey pulls two completely different aspects of music together to make one complete genre of its own. The band's music lulls the listener into a carefree utopia one moment only to pull them to the ground with the brutal screams perfectly injected into their melodious songs.
The band announced they had signed to In Vogue records in 2013. They premiered a new song titled "War" off of their upcoming LP "New Bodies" in November 2013. The new album is set to release January 21st, 2014.

The glaze that has grown over their eyes could represent a sense of weariness, hopelessness or apathy due to the struggles they've faced. The bridge is more assertive and talks about the consequences of choosing to not accept God's gift and being washed away from all our deeds.
