If Morning Comes
Alain Johannes Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

If morning comes
I will kneel to the sun
A silent prayer in your name
And carry on

A consonance in the howling wind
A daily birth into worlds within
A solemn oath

If morning comes
As the nightmare fades
The lightest steps
Leading me to grace
I'll try again

A perching crow
Quoth time to let go

No yesterdays worth
One today just so you know

This comment is too true.

Alain's work on Euphoria Mourning was absolutely divine.

This is what music should be about: A mood. Its layered background guitars almost give the feeling of a storm coming -- a sense of foreboding. The machine-like cadence of the drums and acoustic guitar are very hypnotic. And the occasional devil's interval ties it all together. Brilliant song, Alain!

I'm gradually getting hooked on Alains sense of melody and groove. More, more. more.

Holey Dime is one you should check out.

Really shows his songwriting inspiration to CC. Feels like a Euphoria Morning b-side.

Anthony Wens a-side!

Totally, I just discovered Euphoria Mourning yesterday. Haven't stopped playing it since. Preacher and Follow My Way are insanely good. Thankfully I have discovered Alain as well. A win all around.
