Blossom
Alazka Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Near the river
Is what used to be our tree
You've been gone for days
Without a trace
All I see are fallen leaves
Ever since that day
But the rain won't go away
Listen to the wind
Would he call my name
Cause I'm screaming yours again and again
And it hits so hard
To feel these scars
Cut deep on my heart
If I can't follow you this time
(Let you go)
Will you wait for me on the other side
The moment you lost faith
When there was no way out of this
How could I've known
That I had to let you go
It's been a year
Since you're gone
Since I came to see our tree
Have you left behind
Something more to find
But the roots beneath my feet
How can I keep calm
I believed in you
But the rain won't cease to fall
The wind has died
It never said a word
The echoes of my screams have gone unheard
And it's still so hard
To wear these scars
So deep on my heart
The rain is gone
One more time I'm walking down the hill
One more try to find a reason to
Feel alive
Now I know
After every storm
A flower will be born
If I can't follow you this time
(Let you go)
Will you wait for me on the other side
The moments in the rain
Have washed away the pain
And now I know
That I had to let you go
In the song "Blossom" by Alazka, the lyrics depict a sense of loss and longing for someone who has disappeared from the singer's life. The opening lines introduce a location near a river where the singer used to spend time with this person. However, the absence of the individual is felt deeply, as they have been gone for days and cannot be found. The fallen leaves serve as a metaphor for the decay and emptiness the singer now feels without them.
Despite the person's absence, the singer continues to search for them tirelessly. They express their desperation to find the lost individual, even if it means enduring the relentless rain and wind. The constant repetition of the lost person's name through their own screams indicates their strong emotional attachment and desire for their return.
The lyrics also convey the pain and emotional wounds left behind by the person's disappearance. The singer feels deeply scarred and wounded, their heart bearing the cuts inflicted by the separation. This pain is felt intensely, as if it hits them with great force and continues to affect them deeply.
As time passes, the singer reflects on the one year that has gone by since the person's departure. They revisit the place where they used to spend time together, their "tree," hoping to find some remnants or a trace left behind by the person. However, they are left questioning whether there is something more to find, and the roots beneath their feet symbolize the attachment and memories they still hold onto.
The constant rain becomes a metaphor for the ongoing sorrow, as it persists in their life and prevents them from finding closure or moving on. The absence of any response or signal from the wind intensifies their feelings of helplessness and the despair of their screams going unheard.
Nevertheless, the song offers a glimmer of hope and resilience in the face of the pain. The lyrics suggest that after enduring the storm, a flower will bloom. This signifies a belief that, despite the hardship and loss, there is the potential for growth, healing, and a new beginning.
Ultimately, the lyrics express the difficult decision to let go of the lost person. The singer acknowledges that they may not be able to follow them or be reunited, but they hope that the person will wait for them on the "other side." The rain, which was once a persistent presence, has now stopped, signaling a shift in the singer's emotions.
They recognize that the moments spent in the rain have washed away the pain, and they have come to accept the necessity of letting go. This realization brings some closure and understanding, allowing the singer to finally move forward with the knowledge that they had to release the person they loved.

Down the hill
Descending the incline
Near the river
In close proximity to the flowing water
Is what used to be our tree
Stands the tree that held significance for us in the past
You've been gone for days
You have been absent for an extended period
Without a trace
Leaving no evidence behind
All I see are fallen leaves
The only sight I witness are the fallen foliage
Ever since that day
From that particular moment onwards
I tried to find you
I exerted effort to discover your whereabouts
But the rain won't go away
Yet the precipitation persists without relenting
Listen to the wind
Pay heed to the gust of air
Would he call my name
Does it utter my name
Cause I'm screaming yours again and again
Because I am continuously shouting your name
And it hits so hard
And it impacts with great force
To feel these scars
To experience these wounds
Cut deep on my heart
Penetrating profoundly within my heart
If I can't follow you this time
If I am unable to accompany you on this occasion
(Let you go)
(Release you)
Will you wait for me on the other side
Will you remain in anticipation for my arrival on the opposing end
The moment you lost faith

Since I arrived to gaze upon our shared tree

Did you abandon
Something more to find
Some additional discovery

However, the roots beneath my feet
How can I keep calm
How can I tolerate serenity
I believed in you
I had faith in you
But the rain won't cease to fall
Nevertheless, the rain refuses to stop precipitating
The wind has died
The breeze has ceased to exist
It never said a word
It never uttered a single sound
The echoes of my screams have gone unheard
The reverberations of my shouts have gone unnoticed
And it's still so hard
And it continues to be extremely difficult
To wear these scars
To bear these wounds
So deep on my heart
Deeply entrenched within my heart
The rain is gone
The rainfall has dissipated
One more time I'm walking down the hill
Once again, I am traversing the downward slope
One more try to find a reason to
One more attempt to discover a motive to
Feel alive
Experience vitality
Now I know
At present, I understand
After every storm
Following each tempestuous episode
A flower will be born
A blossom will come into existence
If I can't follow you this time
If I am incapable of pursuing you on this occasion
(Let you go)
(Release you)
Will you wait for me on the other side
Will you remain in anticipation for my arrival on the opposing end
The moments in the rain
The instances beneath the rainfall
Have washed away the pain
Have alleviated the agony
And now I know
And now I comprehend
That I had to let you go
That I was required to release you

Please don't ever change. I've listened to so much metal in my life, and if you keep this nice melodic feel to your music it will be the greatest thing to ever happen to music.
