In 1960, he started in music with Gibraltarian band 'The Diamond Boys', which had no real commercial success, but played a part in Spain's introduction to popular music. In 1966 Hammond co-founded the British vocal group The Family Dogg, scoring a UK Top 10 hit with "A Way of Life" in 1969. He is probably best known for his early 70s hits "It Never Rains In Southern California" and 'Free Electric Band' - but he went on to write countless hits for other artists such as Madonna and Leo Sayer. In 1987, Hammond's composition with Diane Warren "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" (recorded by Jefferson Starship) was nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy. Albert Hammond Lyrics

Musitando... Palabras de amor
Ansiedad, de tener tus encantos
Y en la boca, volverte a besar.
Albert Hammond's song "Ansiedad" is a melancholic love song that expresses the agony of a person who is longing for the love of someone who is not present. The songwriter's words are profound and heart-wrenching as they express the innermost feelings of someone who is missing their loved one. The lyrics suggest that the songwriter's thoughts and tears are like pearls dropping into the sea, and despite being asleep, the echo of their sorrows keeps them awake. The songwriter is vividly aware of their yearning and the intensity of their desire to hold their loved one in their arms and whisper words of love to them. The lyrics suggest that even the memory of their loved one brings them comfort and peace, even though it is not real. In this way, the songwriter's thoughts and the echo of their sorrow keep their loved one present in their mind.
The song's lyrics feature two central themes: the first is the idea of longing for someone, and the second is the notion of having a person's image or memory to hold onto during challenging times. It is evident that the songwriter desperately wants to be reunited with their lover and cannot bear the thought of being without them. The writer's earnest voice captures the pain and sadness of seeing their lover's image and imagining what it would be like to hold them once again. Although the lyrics are sorrowful, they are also poetic and elegant. This song is a moving testament to the depths of emotional pain that can occur when someone is apart from the one they love.
