I only want to do with you
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
I will always have a bed to sleep on
And there'll always be a side for you
To let you into half my world
And I don't want to go to work
Unless you're there when I get back home
No, I don't want to go to work
Unless you're there when I get back home
And if you're not, then I won't eat
'Cause I don't want to eat alone
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
I don't ever want a house and garden
In the quiet of a dead-end town
But if that's what you require of me
Then I'll want to settle down
And I don't want kids of mine
Runnin' round and raisin' hell
No, I don't want kids of mine
Runnin' round and raisin' hell
But I don't care what my kids do
If they belong to you as well
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
So come with me and stay with me
And be with me everywhere I go
And love with me and live with me
And watch with me as the garden grows
I don't ever want to be an old man
I don't ever want to die alone
To face the shadows of my life
But never-never on my own
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
Yes, everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
Everything I want to do
I only want to do with you
The song "Everything I Want To Do" by Albert Hammond is a romantic song about how the singer only wants to do everything in his life with the person he loves. The song starts with the singer saying that everything he wants to do, he only wants to do it with the person he loves. He states that he always wants to have a bed to sleep on and leave one side of the bed just for his lover when they come over. He wants to share his life with this person and wants them to be a part of his world.
The singer also shares that he doesn't want to go to work if his lover is not at home. He would rather not eat than eat alone because he only wants to spend time with the person he loves. He even says that if his lover wants him to settle down in a quiet town and have a house with a garden, he will do it because he wants to be with them. However, he doesn't want kids to raise hell, yet he doesn't mind what his kids do if they belong to the person he loves as well.
The chorus repeats that everything the singer wants to do, he only wants to do it with his lover. He wants them to come with him everywhere, love and live with him, and watch the garden grow together. He doesn't want to be an old man and die alone, and he doesn't want to face the shadows of his life alone.
In summary, the song is all about love, commitment, and spending a lifetime with someone who means everything to you.
