Girls Night Out
Alda Lyrics

Talk about the other night
When love was out of sight?
So you want to make it up to me
Show me what a man you can be?
But I'm sorry, not tonight ''cause the girls are going out
You see, the girls are going out
Chorus
We'll have fun and scream and shout
It's time for us to have a night
Without a man or boy in sight
It's just a girls night out
We can dance and sing out loud
Not a man or boy in sight
A girls night out, oh, what a night
My daddy rang again today
He's trying hard, he's been away
So he turned up after all this years
I did not show him any tears
He wants to take me out tonight
And start again, I think he's right
I'm sorry, daddy, not tonight the girls are going out
You see, the girls are going out
Repeat chorus
It's just a girls night out
Na, n-n-nah, na, n-n-nah
It's just a girls night out
Na, n-n-nah, na, n-n-nah
It's just a girls night out
Na, n-n-nah, na, n-n-nah
It's just a girls night out
Na, n-n-nah, na, n-n-nah
Ah, are we ready to come back together? (Yeah)
Black girlfriend, white girlfriend
Will our friendship last forever? (Yeah)
Brown girlfriend, yellow girlfriend
And we'll always have a reunion (yeah)
Cool girlfriend, male girlfriend
When we're married and cooking an onion (yeah)
Your girlfriend is my girlfriend
Repeat chorus twize
It's just a girls night out
Na, n-n-nah, na, n-n-nah
It's just a girls night out
Na, n-n-nah, na, n-n-nah
It's just a girls night out
We can dance and sing out loud
It's just a girls night out
We'll have fun and scream and shout, yeah
The song "Girls Night Out" by Alda is about the importance of female friendships and the joy of spending time with your girlfriends. The first verse speaks to a situation where a man wants to make it up to the singer, but she declines due to the fact that she has plans with her girlfriends. The second verse focuses on the singer's father trying to make amends and reconnect with her, but again she declines in favor of spending time with her friends. The chorus expresses the excitement of having a night out with just the girls and the freedom that comes with it.
The song also touches on the idea of diversity and inclusivity within female friendships. The bridge includes the lyrics "Black girlfriend, white girlfriend, brown girlfriend, yellow girlfriend" emphasizing that friendship knows no bounds and can exist between people of all races and backgrounds. Furthermore, the line "cool girlfriend, male girlfriend" acknowledges the importance of platonic male friendships as well.
Overall, "Girls Night Out" celebrates the power and importance of female friendships and the joy that comes with spending time with the people who truly know you and support you.

I always used think she was called Aldi 😂 She was in her 30s when she made this. I thought she was 20 / 21 personally as she does look early 20s. Then again Icelandic people are young looking and attractive. It's very late 90s and the video is obviously based on Spiceworld the movie. That's what I like about 90s and 00s pop music, it had personality. A shame she disappeared.
