In 1986 & 1987 In Needles California, there was a full blooded Native American Police officer on the Needles Police force. His nickname was "Bear". He was at the time 7 ft.2 in. Tall and abour 700 - 900+ lbs.( minimum).
He had a police cruiser that was modified just for him. He sat in the backseat when He drove. The cage was moved from the back seat to the front passenger side & back passenger side. The police cruiser would lean hard to the left when He was in the driver seat. This man is the largest man I have ever laid eyes on in my 52, soon to be 53 years of life.
In 1986 I was a 16yr-old teenager who wasn't following my mothers rules. I wanted to do whatever I wanted to do! So, my mother spoke with the police department. She told them that she had a 16 yr old Son that was 6ft 2in tall & weighed 200 lbs. She did not want me getting in trouble and being influenced with the wrong crowd. I was staying out all night long & it was just a matter of time before something happened! Could they please have a talk with me?
They told her they had a police officer that was plenty big enough to get me to listen to him. They said I guarantee you , your son will listen to your after our officer has a talk with him!
The next day officer bear cane over & had a talk with me. He thanked me up against the law and said I hear you're not listening to your mother boy & you think you're tough now!
He scared the crap out of me! This man could have literally grabbed me by the throat and lifted me in the air with one hand! I was not perfect after this by any means. I did start listening to my mother!
Later in life I met a man that was 650 lb. This man was maybe half the size of bear at best. I have no idea how much bears weight was?
All of my friends at the time told me do not try to run from bear. Can used to be a track runner & was very fast!
They all told me that he could outrun all of us. They said when bear got going, he was fast & when he was close enough to you, he would throw his entire body weight on you, tackling you to the ground. They said you do not want that to happen!
There may be 2 nches shorter than Andre the Giant but, he was still a larger man than Andre.

Im 7ft tall. My mom is almost 2mt tall. My oldest brother is over 7ft tall. We have no health issues. I feel really bad for these ppl with health issues.

There is one Kulkarni family in Pune, India.
Father 7 ft. 1 1/2 Inch.
Mother 6ft 2 inches
One daughter 6ft 4 inches and

The first is a medical condition called ‘gigantism’ - the pituitary gland secretes excessive growth hormone, and if this is before puberty it leads to gigantism.
If it occurs after puberty, it is called acromegaly - the height does not change, but there are significant size changes in the hands, feet and also skull.
Morteza suffered from gigantism and not acromegaly!

i grew up in Shelbyville, Indiana and other than a couple visits to our house we saw Sandy Allen frequently. There is the little town of Waldron Indiana which always put on a 4th of July parade and state renowned fireworks show. During one of the 4th of July parades Sandy Allen, sitting in a chair, rode the parade route in the back of my grandfather’s restored 1949 Dodge pickup. This model of pickup wasn’t all that big compared to today’s standards but Sandy definitely filled up the bed. I believe she worked at Ripley’s Believe it or Not in Niagara Falls for a brief period before her passing.

I had the pleasure of seeing Andre the Giant and a whole bunch of other wrestlers and I got all of their autographs, this had to be 1975 or early 1976. Bobo Brazil was there, Chief J Strongbow(I'm not sure of the spelling after all this time), George the Animal Steel and many many more. Thank you to whoever put this out, it brought back some great memories!

A friend of mine is 6 foot 7 inches tall. When I first met her I thought she was older than me. I was in my 30s. However, her mother quickly informed me that she was 16 years old. I couldn't believe it.

I met Sandy Allen in the Ripley's museum in Niagara Falls, in the early '80's. She was sitting in an alcove at the front of the building. She saw me come in and she asked me, "How's the weather down there"? I'm 4'10" She and I talked for a 'short' time, and she loved meeting people.

I accidentally bounced off a guy who was 7'-1 when I was walking into a dark building on a sunny day. I thought I had hit a brick wall. His name was David Robinson. After banging into him I think I was blinking like Stan Laurel as my eyes were trying to adjust. Then looked up to see his smiling face as I apologized, said something stupid, and he and Tim laughed. Tim was kinda tall also. Both very nice guys.

Tall is admired. But at 6"5 and closing on 60, it's very difficult to get off ground. Legs are the first to go. Shorter stature folks live longer and though they have their issues. Being tall has pro's and cons.

I sawAndrie the Giant once and he sure was big,he came into a pizza resturant and tho doors into resturant lge double he had to turn sideways slide to go in, and that to sit he had to on three chairs. It was incredible to see this man. His eyes were small compared to size and he just got on with it, noticing no one

Andre the Giant was billed as being 7'4" but in reality he was 7' or 6'11". Still a very big man and he is missed by wrestling fans worldwide.

The thing with Andre and what made him extra exceptional was the fact he was extremely athletic for quite a long time. Until the alcohol and bad habits caught up to him. Unlike the other giants. He could move, really move. Like he was always meant to be that size.

Actually met Andre the giant...he had to duck to pass through the door; he bought enough food for a family breakfast for 4 people... and it was SLL for him.
A short lifespan seems to be major issue, I'll keep my 5'10" frame

True giants are people that are naturally tall, not a hormone problem of giantism. People with this problem are actually very tragic. Their struggles are subject all by itself. Nothing should be tracked by their individualism and their perseverance.

I was an expat for many years working exclusively in remote locations all over the planet. Having completed two contracts in Antarctica, I landed a contract at the U.S. Army Ballistic Missile Test Range at Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Unaccompanied personnel lived in barracks in two man rooms. Approx a year after I was hired, a new hire (Stew Lily) was assigned to my ground floor room which I'd already remodeled into one of the most hip, slick, and terminally cool bachelor pads on the island.
We became best buds, best dive buddies, and generally just hung around. We must have looked extremely odd. I'm 5ft 4in & weighed 140lb soaking wet, while Stew stood 6ft 9in & 350lbs. The dude was literally a giant. Man-o-Man did we have some rocking parties in that hooch. Plenty of unaccompanied American females (round eyes), and of course Marshallese native girls who were quite promiscuous & legal requirement of consent according to Marshallese law was 65lbs.

I'm a 6 ft 60 yr old woman. My dad was 6'4"" & according to him, his aunt was 6 ft, so i guess it's hereditary. My mom was 5'5" & my only sibling, a sister is 5'6". My daughter is 5'10". I'm told alot how people wished they were my height. Clothing & shoes aren't a problem because i wear skirts & my feet are normal sized as well as my arms. I felt so sorry for those with joint problems & health issues, especially the 2 that were not educated & freakishly promoted.

Tall is great but we know that most of this is caused by problems with the pituitary gland so once they hit 7 ft tall they should hopefully be receiving medical help to prevent the inevitable joint problems arthritis problems
