This Alison didn't fall down anything; she jumped head first down the rabbit hole and landed straight on the decks. Armed with turntables, a killer vibe and an open mind, Alison turns countless dance floors across Australia into your favourite kind of Wonderland: more beats, less croquet.
Beginning with a background in indie and classical, Wonderland's best card is her eclecticism. Throughout her youth she toured Europe as a principal cellist for the Sydney Youth Orchestra and later played bass in a successful local indie band.
After inking a global deal with EMI, Wonderland released her debut compilation record - "Welcome To Wonderland" mid 2012, while her much anticipated first original's album is due out very soon! If the success of her remixes is anything to go by the record is set to be a game changer.
Wonderland has performed in LA at the official Grammy's Afterparty, all throughout Ibiza on top of MOS and the Brit Awards Afterparty in London. In Australia she has torn up main stages at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Southbound Festival, Stereosonic, Field Day, Parklife (nationally), Good Vibrations Festival, Harbourlife, Sydney Fashion Week, Future Music Festival, Coaster Festival, Secret Garden Festival and more, not to mention her sellout headline national tours.
The end of 2012 saw Wonderland taking the highly prestigious summer festival time slots. Playing main stage at Falls Festival in a headline slot after Hot Chip to a capacity crowd, Supporting PNAU Live at Wonderland Festival in Perth & again destroying the headline time slot after SBTRKT to a heaving tent at Southbound Festival this all within 1 WEEK!
Wonderland is the party, rumour has it she never sleeps and is reasonably good friends with Oprah.

But I can't look at the time
I know that I overthink
I wanna stay up all night
It's like I'm not even here
When I am closing my eyes
Don't wanna look like I'm weak
And we're right here
So give me something real
We're right here
It's not in vain, it's not in vain
And we're right here
So give me something real
And we're right here
It's not in vain, it's not in vain
I wasn't looking for love
But here we are, here we are
You're breaking down all my walls, yeah
You're looking right through me
I keep on rolling the dice
And we're right here
So give me something real
We're right here
It's not in vain, it's not in vain
And we're right here
So give me something real
And we're right here
It's not in vain, it's not in vain
(Give me something real)
(Give me something real)
See your face now, I'm shaking
You hold my head now, I'm weightless
No ground beneath to hold my feet
Might fly in love in your embrace
We go to bed but I'm wide awake
Thoughts run wild, what could we create?
You're right here, I'm right here
For good or great, it's not in vain
See your face now, I'm shaking
You hold my head now, I'm weightless
No ground beneath to hold my feet
Might fly in love in your embrace
We go to bed but I'm wide awake
Thoughts run wild, what could we create?
You're right here, I'm right here
We're right here, we're right here
The lyrics to Alison Wonderland's song "Something Real" are about the desire for a genuine connection in a relationship. The singer feels a strong connection with their partner but also acknowledges their own insecurities and fear of vulnerability. The line "You say you're falling asleep, but I can't look at the time" suggests that the singer wants to stay awake and make the most of the time they have together, emphasizing their yearning for a deeper connection. They admit to overthinking and rolling the dice, indicating their hesitation and uncertainty.
The chorus emphasizes the need for something real in the relationship. The repetition of the line "So give me something real" expresses the longing for authenticity and depth. The phrase "It's not in vain, it's not in vain" suggests that the singer believes the potential for a genuine connection is worth pursuing, hinting at the hope for a fulfilling and meaningful relationship.
The second verse further explores the effect the partner has on the singer. The lines "You're breaking down all my walls, yeah, you're looking right through me" convey the partner's ability to penetrate the singer's defenses and see them for who they truly are. The bridge section emphasizes the intensity and excitement of being in love, describing the feeling of being weightless and the potential to create something incredible together. The repetition of the phrase "We're right here" reinforces the theme of being present in the moment and cherishing the connection that exists.

I haven't listened to the album yet but I know it's going to make me cry buckets. It's been such a treat seeing you grow over the years and become such a powerful, strong, and sensitive human. Thank you for sharing these vulnerable, painful parts of yourself. What you make is art, and the affect you have on others is so vital and appreciated. Lots of love ❤

I tear up hearing this, your music is very healing for what I’m going through/working through over the years. Thank you. The intro to this...my dog passed away and I painted something in tribute to her and it hits that same place in my heart for her, and the whole situation.💜
