My Reality
Aminé Lyrics

Is my fantasy
I know I'm so gone
I know I'm so gone
Is my fantasy
When there's nothing wrong
My problems are gone
Used to need a hand-out now I need no help
Niggas that I looked up to is gettin' shook up too
And nigga, you don't know how weird that felt
Look, I went from skippin' class to makin' a classic
I'm steppin' over niggas and I'm skippin' the practice
A.i. When it come to the checks
I'm like, "Taxes? Taxes? Taxes?"
I always did what the fuck I wanted
And now girls scream like my shows are haunted
Livin' out the words that I used to say
We all dream but to live this way
Is my fantasy
(And my fantasy's lookin' like it's reality)
When there's nothing wrong (God gave me the audacity)
My problems are gone (that's why these niggas prolly mad at me)
Is my fantasy
(And my fantasy's lookin' like it's reality)
When there's nothing wrong (God gave me the audacity)
My problems are gone (now I smile, 'cause it's reality)
Fantasy's, boy, I just can't believe
Yeah, we all got dreams (I know I'm so gone)
Hoping for reality (I know I'm so gone)
You know I can't make it (hey)
You know I can't lie to you
You know I can't fake it
You know I can't lie to you
Yeah, so as I (skrrt) in my brand new Range
The grapefruit fills a void I can't explain
They be like, "Whoa, what's that my nigga?"
I be like, "That's a banana link chain"
As I sit here, stare at my things
The glass half full from the joy that they bring
Livin' out the words that I used to say
We all dream but to live this way
Is my fantasy
(And my fantasy's lookin' like it's reality)
When there's nothing wrong (God gave me the audacity)
My problems are gone (that's why these niggas prolly mad at me)
Is my fantasy
(And my fantasy's lookin' like it's reality)
When there's nothing wrong (God gave me the audacity)
My problems are gone (now I smile, 'cause it's reality)
Who woulda thought we'd live where the sun sets?
Livin' a dream that still isn't done yet (I know I'm so gone)
I'm livin' out my fantasy (I know I'm so gone)
Don't know if the globe can handle me
I'm with my dawgs, we stay gettin' money
I gotta say this shit isn't funny (I know I'm so gone)
We livin' out our fantasies (I know I'm so gone)
Don't know if the globe can handle we (my reality)
Who woulda thought we'd live where the sun sets?
Livin' a dream that still isn't done yet
I'm livin' out my fantasy
Don't know if the globe can handle me
I'm with my dawgs, we stay gettin' money
I gotta say this shit isn't funny
We livin' out our fantasies
Don't know if the globe can handle we
The lyrics of Aminé's song My Reality revolve around the idea of living out one's fantasy as if it were reality. The chorus of the song outlines this concept, as the artist repeats that his reality is his fantasy, and when there is nothing wrong, his problems disappear. He talks about living the life he always dreamed about - from skipping classes to making a classic, he's now stepping over others and bypassing the hard work required to make it big.
One notable aspect of the lyrics is that the artist doesn't shy away from talking about the blessings he's received in his life. He mentions that God gave him the audacity, and now girls scream like his shows are haunted. He's fully embracing the lavish lifestyle that he's living, and he feels like his fantasy is becoming a reality.
The second half of the song talks about the realization that living out one's fantasy isn't just about the individual; there are others involved too. He mentions his friends and how they're getting money too, but it's not as funny as it may seem. They're all living out their fantasies, and the globe might not be able to handle them. Overall, the lyrics highlight the idea that one's reality can become whatever they want it to be if they're willing to have audacity, work hard and dream big.
