This little gem and the whole Suite Bergamasque are some of the greatest music ever composed.
@stravinskyfan
Yes, it's great in general, but pretty average by Debussy's standard. Check out his Nocturnes, it's definitely the pinnacle of music.

Tellement de tendresse dans cette pièce ❤
@nitendler
i initially read it as "This little green elf"

Suite Bergamasque and The Lark (Glinka/Balakirev) are sublime light pieces

I've just discovered this interpretation - wonderful! A bit slower than most versions I've heard, but so beautifully and expressively played! I think this is going to influence my playing of this piece!
@fNktn
By far the best interpretation I've heard so far

Why does this feel like a videogame ost? Like, I'd see that in a dark but cute forest platformer with a sense of urgency. It's so playful yet, somehow, urging me to act like there's something bad that already happened but has yet to be noticed. I love it.
@sprinter82
Castlevania II Belmont's Revenge on Game Boy used it, first portion anyway. Second to last stage.

@@sprinter82 never played but might look at gameplay now :)
