Raindrops on roses
Small drops of water that fall from the sky and land gently on the petals of roses

And whiskers on kittens
Small hairs growing on the face of cute baby cats

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Shiny pots made of copper used to heat up water, and soft gloves made of wool used to keep hands warm in cold weather

Brown paper packages tied up with strings
Packages wrapped in brown paper and tied with string to keep the contents safe and secure

These are a few of my favorite things
These are some of the things that make me happy and bring me joy

Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Horses with a light colored coat of fur and tasty filo pastry with apples and cinnamon

Doorbells and sleigh bells
Devices that produce a ringing sound to indicate the presence of someone at the entrance of a house, and small bells on a horse-drawn sleigh that produce a jingling sound

And schnitzel with noodles
Thin slices of meat coated in breadcrumbs and fried, served with boiled pasta

Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
Birds that travel long distances through the air during the night with the moon shining on their wings

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Females dressed in white clothing with a ribbon of silky fabric attached at the waist

Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Small frozen crystals of water falling from the sky and landing on the nose and eyelashes

Silver-white winters that melt into springs
Seasons of the year characterized by cold temperatures and white snow, that give way to warmer temperatures and blooming flowers

When the dog bites
When a domesticated animal with four legs and a wagging tail, bites a human being

When the bee stings
When a small flying insect with a stinger, causing pain or allergic reactions when harmful venom is released

When I'm feeling sad
When experiencing negative emotions such as loneliness, disappointment, or grief

I simply remember my favorite things
I think of things that make me happy and bring me joy

And then I don't feel so bad
As a result of thinking of happy things, the negative emotions start to fade away
