London, 1989: The "Electric MotherFucker Brothers" play their first gig at the Gun Tavern, Croydon - Philip and Daren had their heads shaved, Crom went mad and Pete wore pink, The press hated it.
Playing loud guitar music in the midst of the industry's love affair with baggy beats and floppy fringes, EMB continued to build their audience ...
In 1990 the band changed their name to ANNA.
With the name Anna, things started to happen, people started paying attention. And when they weren't they were joining in a weird variation on stagediving, the Croydon Pile.
Now legendary, the pile was a tribute to Anna and the two-inch high stage at the Rose & Crown in Croydon. Once your average stagediver had launched offstage is was difficult to do much more than lie on the floor and wait for more bodies to join the ruck. Anna once had to stop playing in the middle of their epic 'Masonic Youth' when the pile reached critical height and no-one could see them any more.
Banned from the Rose, the Pile still followed them from gig to gig, getting ever bigger, and getting Anna banned from ever more venues.
Their debut single 'Masonic Youth', though recorded in summer '91, was finally released through Go! Discs in May '92. Their Debut album 101ism was released through Free Records in Oct '93.
4) Anna is Boris Brejcha. One such revolutionary elements and surprise that occasionally appear (luckily) in the arena of electronic dance music. With a sound personal super blunt and direct, get to collect the best of each house. After his great maxis in harthouse and autist and his fantastic album recently released on the label of frankfurt "Die Maschinen Kontrollieren Uns" regular reaches under his pseudonym anna to make a lot of noise black is dynamic, aggressive, and extremely direct, breaking the dance floor!. Green combines the speed and forcefulness of the groove that boris has accustomed us, but with a happy ending. Melody and deep united forever..

Ich sag's dir ganz ehrlich
Manchmal glaub ich, dass du spinnst
Ich bin so oft alleine
Du kommst nicht nach Haus
Hast so viel Termine
Und dein Handy ist immer aus
Das Leben ist wie oft ein Film
Warum lässt du mich dann so oft allein?
The lyrics of Anna-Maria Zimmermann's song "Ich glaub dir einmal" speak about the complexities and uncertainties of love and trust in a relationship. The singer expresses feelings of doubt and suspicion towards their partner's actions and words, highlighting the challenges that come with navigating a romantic connection.
The lyrics suggest that love can be dangerous and unpredictable, often changing direction like the wind. The singer conveys their frustration and loneliness, feeling abandoned by their partner who seems distant, preoccupied with other commitments, and unreachable with a constantly switched off phone. This sense of isolation and neglect leads the singer to question why they are left alone so frequently.
Despite these doubts and concerns, the singer acknowledges the possibility of trusting their partner once, but remains cautious about believing them repeatedly. The repeated refrain of "Ich glaub dir einmal" reflects a pattern of giving second chances but ultimately setting boundaries to protect themselves from further hurt. The singer refuses to be deceived or betrayed again, emphasizing the importance of self-preservation and not falling for the same mistakes.
The lyrics also touch upon the themes of missed connections and potentially infidelity, with hints of suspicion towards another person in their partner's life. The singer feels distant from their partner, sensing that something is amiss and questioning the authenticity of their relationship. This uncertainty and insecurity lead the singer to consider starting anew and finding someone who will be faithful and truthful, rather than staying in a situation that lacks clarity and emotional fulfillment.
In the final lines, the singer concludes by asserting their disbelief and refusal to trust their partner at all, emphasizing a sense of finality and closure in the relationship. The lyrics convey a mix of emotions, including pain, disillusionment, and a desire for honesty and commitment in love. Ultimately, the song captures a complex and heartfelt exploration of trust, betrayal, and the search for genuine connection in a romantic relationship.
