Last Night
Anna Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Verse One
I didn't mean to call you like I did last night
Sorry, I drunk dialed your number
See, I was sitting a t home alone feeling low
So I was reacquainted with my friend Merlot

She gave me liquid confidence
And maybe helped me lose my sense
But gave me strength
To say the things that needed to be said
I don't recall the exact words
But I knew I messed up
When I woke up
With a headache
And my cellphone, with me, in my bed (oh)

Verse Two
I don't recall the things I said to you last night
Sorry, it caused such a dilemma
And I know I might have said things you dislike
Its too bad that I don't remember

Cause every since you left that day
There was so much for me to say
And I needed a way
To have all those feelings spilling out
It wasn't suppose to be like this
But I knew it finished
When you called me
The next morning
Asking me,"" what was all that about ?""
Last night

Bridge
Ooooo___
Last night, last night, last ni-hite
(What happened last night?)
Ooooo___
Last night, last night, last ni-hite
(It's out of sight and mind)

Verse Three
Despite our rocky history
You still mean so much to me
Such a tragedy
We cant seem to manage being friends
I guess this is our last goodbye
Moving on with our lives
Now there's closure
With exposure

By the way, this never happened...
Last night

Overall Meaning

In "Last Night," Anna reflects on a regrettable phone call she made while intoxicated the previous night. She starts by apologizing for drunk dialing the person she called, explaining that she was feeling lonely and turned to her "friend Merlot" for comfort. The alcohol gave her the confidence to say things that needed to be said, although she can't remember the exact words she used. Upon waking up with a headache and her cellphone beside her in bed, she realizes she must have messed up.

In the second verse, Anna acknowledges that her intoxicated phone call caused a dilemma and admits that she may have said things that the other person disliked. However, she laments not being able to recall those words. Since the person's departure, she had many feelings she wanted to express but couldn't find a way to do so. She reflects on how things were not supposed to end this way and realizes the severity of the situation when the person calls the next morning, asking, "What was all that about?"

The bridge section emphasizes the haziness of the previous night, with Anna repeating the phrase "last night" in a melodic manner, conveying the sense of it being out of sight and mind. In the final verse, Anna comments on the complicated history she and the person share, expressing that they still hold significance in her life but navigating a friendship seems impossible. She concludes by stating that this incident never happened, bringing a sense of closure to the situation.

Overall, "Last Night" explores the aftermath of a regretful drunk dial and the mixed emotions that arise from it. It reflects on the complexity of relationships and the difficulty of finding closure.

Какая красивая пара❤

Меня удивляет почему у главной пары сериала нет ни одного совместного танца, Владимир танцевал с Ольгой с Лизой, а с Анной нет. В американских сериалах обычно это традиционно))))

Fekla Creacion

Наверное, сценаристы хотели оставить это на 2 сезон, но не случилось)

HappyOppa🗿

В наших сериалах только сразу секс, только хардкор))

@HappyOppa🗿 так сценаристы американцы в данном сериале

ANICHAN
