Stop Thinking

I don't get around much anymore
So I just spend my time alone
Waiting for the phone to ring
I keep thinking of you
I miss the language that we speak
When we don't even talk
You make it all worthwile
I keep thinking of you
I never loved someone like this before
Keep staring at your picture while I try to
Work my way around you
But nothing's any good
Cause I keep thinking of you
You never told me I would feel
Lonely without you
You're not supposed to make me cry
You said: don't worry I am yours
And in a while you were gonna call me
Well it's been six hours now
I keep thinking of you
I never loved someone like this before
Keep staring at your picture while I try to
Work my way around you
But nothing's any good
Cause I keep thinking of you
The song "Stop Thinking" by Anouk describes the feeling of loneliness and longing for someone who is no longer present in your life. The lyrics depict the singer feeling down and not going out much, spending their time waiting for a phone call that never seems to come. They keep thinking of the person they miss and the connection they had, even if they didn't always speak.
The song also touches upon the feeling of being in love for the first time and not knowing how to deal with it. The singer admits that they have never loved someone like this before and can't stop staring at a picture of the person they miss. They struggle to work their way around the person and move on, but nothing seems to help because they keep thinking of them.
The song captures the feeling of heartbreak and the struggle to move on from a past relationship, even when it feels impossible. Despite the sadness and loneliness, the singer holds onto the hope that the person they miss will come back to them.
