The word "religion" can be good, or used to describe false religions.

There is one true religion. But don't take my word for it alone.

"Now true religion does bring great riches, but only to those who are content with what they have."
1 Timothy 6:6

The word religion is found a minimum of 4 times in the Renewed Covenant and directly implied everytime the topic of true worship is mentioned throughout all 66 books of the Scriptures (Bible). Depending on which version you are partial too, you may see it a few more times. Some versions exclude it and simply use a synonym such as the word "ceremony" or "worship". To each their own as long as it's correct.

The word religion properly defined using the Greek: thrēskeia
thrace-ki'-ah
From a derivative of G2357; ceremonial observance: - religion, worshipping.

Religion is a way of saying "the practice of worship".

Everytime you see this statement "I follow The Bible, not religion", please know that is an uninformed and unlearned statement. If anything it could be stated as "I follow Yahweh's Torah (Scriptures, Genesis to Revelation) by His Favor (Grace) and through the Sacrifice of His Only begotten Son, and not the many false religions of the world".

Of course there are a few ways we can state the disparities between true religion and false religion, the above being one I certainly have used before.

That One true religion was mentioned by the Messiah in John chapter 4 and verse 22.

Judaism (religion of the Jews; John 4:22) was responsible for predicting the coming of the Messiah through the Hebrew Scriptures. The Prophet Micah said this: "But you, Beit-Lechem (Bethlehem) near Efrat, so small among the clans of Y'hudah (Judah), out of you will come forth to me the future ruler of Isra'el, whose origins are far in the past, back in ancient times."

Matthew 2:1(2) After Yahushua was born in Beit-Lechem in the land of Y'hudah during the time when Herod was king, Magi from the east came to Yerushalayim (Jerusalem).

Luke 2:4-5 So Yahusef (Joseph), because he was a descendant of David, went up from the town of Natzeret in the Galil to the town of David, called Beit-Lechem, in Y'hudah (Judah),
to be registered, with Miryam (Mary) to whom he was engaged, and who was pregnant.

&

Luke 2:6-7 While they were there, the time came for her to give birth; and she gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him in cloth and laid him down in a feeding trough (food shelf in the Sukkah since it was Sukkot), because there was no space for them in the living-quarters.

Please be careful what or whom you turn your ear to and what you agree with, my friends.

Shalom 😉
