Me quema...
Aromas lejanos, nostalgias guardadas
Me quema...
Menudo contraste.
The lyrics of Antonio Orozco's song Menudo Contraste express the emotional turmoil of a person who observes the harsh reality of those who left their homes with hopes and dreams, only to end up living a life of struggle in a foreign land. The singer sees these people walking around in the city, where their false dreams turn into a murky nightmare. The person seems to be reflecting on the contrast between the fantasy of new beginnings and the reality of a life filled with uncertainty, pain, and regrets.
The singer describes the difficult living conditions of these people who have left everything behind, with their roof in the sky, bed on the ground, and their lungs filled with pollution. The person acknowledges the strength of these individuals who have endured so much, yet their pride is battered, and they are filled with fear. The singer is moved to tears by the sight of their suffering and is comforted by a child who tells them that their consolation is still to come. The song expresses the deep empathy the person has for those who have lost everything, and the hope that they will find peace.
The song's powerful lyrics touch on themes of immigration, displacement, and the struggle to survive in a new place. It is a reminder of the harsh reality that many people face when they leave their homes to chase their dreams. Orozco's voice brings out the raw emotions of the lyrics, creating an evocative and touching piece of music that speaks to the human condition.
