Voy a esperarte.
Voy a contar solamente verdades,
Voy a entregar cada día por ti,
Voy a pintar con mi pena tu nombre,
Voy a esperarte.
Solamente verdades.
The song "Solamente Verdades" by Antonio Orozco is a beautiful ode to honesty and vulnerability in love. In the first stanza, Orozco declares his intention to tell only the truth and explain his feelings for his beloved. He compares his immersion in her eyes to swimming in the sea, and promises to wait for her no matter what. The second stanza continues this theme of persistence in the face of difficulty, with Orozco vowing to always row against the waves and fly with her wings. He then reveals that he wants to tell her something she needs to hear - that the man she thinks she loves doesn't understand her loneliness, and that she limits herself with outdated boundaries. He acknowledges her pain in both loss and the desire to possess.
