I'm so thankful that you guys did this q&a! My son is not even three yet but has a pretty definitive diagnosis of apraxia (speech and fine motor).I'm thankful for voices like yours because it gives me some insight to what might be going on in his head. I'd love to hear a q+a about parenting a child with apraxia, esp how to handle tantrums with a child who can't voice his feelings. Thank you for all you do! 😊

Wow so wonderful to hear you determined to speak the words that try to slow you down instead of substituting them for something else. I can see how it really makes a difference to push through and say it anyways, rather than jumping back inside your head to find another word that might fit and come out quicker. Bravo and keep up this sharing.

Hi Heather! At 16:30 ish you mention coordinating the Raleigh Walk for Apraxia! What an incredible coincidence. We just moved to the Selma NC area and are suspecting my 2y/o daughter has Apraxia. I have been trying to learn a lot about it even tho we dont have a formal diagnosis. I have marked my calendar for 2021 Walk and hope for my daughter and myself to meet you. Thank you both Jordan and Heather for your work and bringing education and public awareness! I have learned so much already. Also been following Bjorem Speech. So much good info available now I am so grateful

Thank you so much for this :)

I have motor apraxia from brain injury. Sensory flooding just shuts my speech right off... reading aloud more than 10 minutes also gradually shuts it off.

Hi Guys! I am new to apraxia and I've just started my research on the subject. Have you ever tried any kind of supplementation as EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids)? If so, Did they help some how? I found information about trials and some support groups of CAS where parents say they have seen improvement in their children and I was wondering if you could share your experience.

My son is 19 almost 20 with apraxia. He struggles to have friends. How can he meet others with apraxia? Are there forums or groups?

@tcbobb1613
