Aquasky is a breaks and jungle group comprising Dave Wallace, Kieron Bailey… Read Full Bio ↴Aquasky is a breaks and jungle group comprising Dave Wallace, Kieron Bailey & Brent Newitt. In early 1995 they got together to produce their own music. Shortly afterwards they sent a demo tape to Moving Shadow records and the seeds of a musical alliance were sown. The first single 'Dezires / Images' (Shadow 64) was released three months later and remixed by Krust (Shadow 64R).

Originally a Drum and Bass outfit the trio have more recently become involved in the breaks scene originally using the moniker Aquasky vs. Masterblaster to denote their breaks projects and retaing Aquasky for Drum & Bass. The addition of Masterblaster however led to great confusion amongst fans who kept looking for a new member. Due to this Masterblaster has now been dropped and everything is once again being released under the name Aquasky. The trio are also responsible for creating and running the Passenger label established in 1997 (as well as its sister label 777 established in 2004) which continues to release their style of heavy Drum & Bass influenced breaks. Their latest effort is the 'Teamplayers' EP which features collaborations with many influential electronic artists including The Breakfastaz, Tayo, The Ragga Twins and Meat Katie.

There is also a hip hop group called Aquasky.

Yeaa man they went for gold, obvs because timecode can anyways, but knew it was going on gta which is worldwide.. still amazes me they knew about this sorta stuff at that sorta time and willing to use it, could just about get good reception n signal in LDN let alone over their ends😂😂👏

@Hawkeye Mode When you say their ends, you mean Edinburgh? Tbf, everyone knew about dnb in 2000-01. It hadn't just been underground for just a while. They could have just said we want DNB in the game, then sourced someone in the know like Timecode to curate it, like they probably do for a lot of the stations.

I was kinda surprised they didn't include a dubstep station on GTA V at the time, but then I suppose in 2007-08 it was still quite underground (and still good). If it had been made a few years later when it was commercial then no doubt it would have had one, but it would have been the type of dubstep that it dogshit and gave the whole genre a bad name.

God, I just found this off listening nostalgically to MSX FM... And all I can say is... Amazing. There's such a subtle progression to the song, in the course of 8 mins, you embark on a journey, find a story, and come home again.
