In 2013, Architects parted with Century Media, self-releasing the documentary One Hundred Days: The Story of Architects Almost World Tour and joining Epitaph Records. They released their sixth album Lost Forever // Lost Together through the label in 2014, achieving widespread critical acclaim which has lasted since. Soon after the release of their follow-up All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us in 2016, principal guitarist and songwriter Tom Searle died after three years of living with skin cancer. In September 2017, the band released the single "Doomsday"—the last song that he was working on before his death—and announced Josh Middleton of Sylosis as their new lead guitarist. The single is included on their new album Holy Hell, which was released in November 2018 and is their first written without Searle.
All members of the band are vegan, having turned to veganism after watching several documentaries on the subject. They also promote the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, with Carter being one of its British ambassadors.

The Architects sound is a mature version of the later Gadjits material, dropping all ska influence for a Springsteen & The Who sounding rock approach. They are currently signed to Skeleton Crew Records.

In these powerful lyrics from Architects' song "You'll Find Safety," the band delivers an empowering message about self-belief and resilience in the face of adversity. The first verse encourages the listener to find comfort within themselves and begin to believe in their own strength before it's too late. The repetition of the phrase "find safety in yourself" emphasizes the idea that true security comes from within, rather than seeking validation or approval from others. By lifting their head up and ignoring the negative chatter from those around them, the singer is urged to prove them wrong and assert their worth before time runs out.
The lyrics delve into the struggle of keeping emotions bottled up and never finding a release, highlighting the importance of finding solace and comfort within oneself. The line "find your faith and find your hope" suggests that by holding onto one's beliefs and optimism, one can navigate through challenging times and ultimately find safety within themselves. This sentiment is reinforced by the assertion that by embracing self-reliance and inner strength, the individual can weather any storm and overcome obstacles that come their way.
The acknowledgment that looking up when everything is crumbling is difficult resonates with the universal experience of facing adversity and feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges. Despite the hardship and chaos surrounding them, the lyrics urge the listener to remain steadfast and believe that they have the resilience to withstand the turmoil. The repeated refrain "it's hard but you can make it" serves as a powerful reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is the potential for growth and transformation.
Overall, "You'll Find Safety" by Architects delivers a poignant message of empowerment and self-assurance, urging the listener to find comfort and security within themselves. The song encourages individuals to trust in their own abilities, beliefs, and hope, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. By embracing self-belief and resilience, the singer in the song exemplifies the strength and courage needed to navigate through life's challenges and emerge stronger on the other side.
