The lyrics of Asha Bhosle's "Chhun Chhun Ghungro Bole" express a feeling of joy and celebration as the singer feels the rhythm of her ghungroo (ankle bells) and sways her hips to it. The song begins with the lines "Chhun chhun ghungroo bole, meri chaal nashili dole" which highlights how the ghungroo's sound marks her every move and her nashili chaal (seductive gait) adds to the rhythm. The singer's initial movement is not guided by anyone, but she feels compelled to move as she hears the sound of her ghungroos.
The next few lines describe how the singer's life has changed since she discovered the joy of dancing to the sound of her ghungroos. Her gait has become more confident, and the song describes the physical changes she's undergone, from her changing gait to her glowing cheeks and inquisitive eyes. The final lines of the song express the hope that her love interest will remember her fondly, knowing that they will meet again and that they will always have the memory of the singer's joyful dance to look back on.
Overall, "Chhun Chhun Ghungro Bole" is a joyous ode to the sound of the ghungroo and the power of dance to bring happiness.
