Eternal Separation Pt. 2
Ashbringer Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Of a life without anxiety, fear, burden
No suffering, for me or my fellow man
Is it so naive to expect better?
Separated from my body
I can see the world from a new perspective
I carried the weight of the world
On my shoulders
Did it make me stronger?
Did it make me believe in myself?
Now, the gate is open
I no longer feel bound
To expectations
It was always meant to be this way
It's been an eternity
I still feel it's presence
It's been an eternity
And I am still here
I am the architect
Of my own spirit
The second part of Ashbringer's song Eternal Separation delves into the concept of a life free from anxiety, suffering and burden, for oneself and others around. It questions whether it is naive to hope for a better world amidst chaos and whether carrying the weight of the world on one's shoulders makes them stronger and believe in themselves. The song then shifts to being separated from one's body and viewing the world from a new perspective. The gate is open, and the singer no longer feels bound by societal expectations. He sees that his destiny was always meant to be this way, and even after an eternity, the presence of his spirit still lingers, implying he is indestructible. The song finishes with the singer accepting he has the power and responsibility to design his own soul and its destiny.
