The group is often referred to as Asheru & Blue Black of the Unspoken Heard. They began getting significant recognition in underground hip-hop around the turn of the millennium. Their sound is reminiscent of the New York "new school" sound of the early '90s, particularly that of the Native Tongues Posse.
Asheru (pronounced “Ash-er-roo”) (born Gabriel Benn on December 29th, 1974 in Columbia, Maryland) is an award winning, Black American Hip Hop artist, educator, and youth activist. He is most widely known for performing the opening and closing themes for the popular TV series, The Boondocks, as well as his pioneering and innovative efforts to forward the Hip Hop Education movement.
Blue Black
(born Robert Jackson) is an American Hip Hop Producer and the older brother of Wes Jackson, founder of independent Hip Hop label Seven Heads Entertainment.
They have released two albums:

LOL You must be from Canada (or somewhere outside the US)... Cause I remember having to order that shit too as it was only available on "import"... NOW THAT WAS DEDICATION TO HIP HOP... These youngins today don't have that dedication to the artform as they don't have to worry about that stuff what w/ YOUTUBE and iTunes having almost EVERY available album on-line.
