It’s not easy to categorize his music in terms of genre. The sound is mostly experimental. First, Mayhem used Impulse Tracker (around 1997-1999). He didn’t have enough samples and created music via patching all kinds of files and the games’ sounds.
That continued until 2005 when he founded a band called Brainfuck and shifted from Tracker to notes. Having recorded several demos Brainfuck split up by 2007. After that, he returned to making completed musical works. Up to the end of 2008 he tried out many genres such as techno, trance, house, ambient, IDM, 8-bit, drum&bass, and industrial.
Since 2009 the musician decided to use all his experience for making the new sound. He released an experimental album “The Sound Theory”.

🎅🎅😺- Fun Fact or Close call, rarely disease/illness related.
🎅🎅🐡🥕- Close call and no injury, sometimes disease/illness related. Often seen as the "Decent Ending". Occasionally swaps roles with 🎅🎅🦀💵
🎅🎅🧚✨- A very rare sound. Often used in clips that are risky or dangerous, injury is possible. From low to Mild injury. Sometimes swaps roles with 🎅🎅😰.
🎅🎅🦀💵- often used in the "would you do this for 1 million?" Clips. Also used outside of those clips occasionally.
(⚠️No Sound⚠️)- the clip contained death or serious injury. Usually death.
🍎Hey Apple!🍎- same as no sound but instead of a video clip, it shows a short slideshow instead. Also usually more gruesome and grotesque than No Sound.
🎅🎅💩- extremely rare sound, used for only ONE specific clip in which one of the sewer pipes busts and covers someone in sewage(a combination of feces and urine)
🎅🎅🤨(Huh?)- a rare sound that is often used in disease or illness related clips. Rarely used outside of disease/illness related clips.
🎅🎅😰(No don't do it!)- a rare sound used in clips in which someone in the clip purposely put themself and others in danger. Might result in Mild injury or less.
🎅🎅&🎅🎅🎅- a very rare sound but often replaces any of the "safe" sounds(sounds that do not result in serious injury or mild injury.)
🎅🎅🤨📸(Vine boom)- a rarer version of 🎅🎅🧚✨
🎅🎅😩(AUGHH)- A rare sound that sometimes means that the clip is off-topic(something wholesome or 100% safe), also similar to 🎅🎅&🎅🎅🎅
🎅🎅🎅🐻🐻(HarHarHarHar)-This sound is used in clips that can result in high injury or possible death, Rarely used outside of dangerous clips.
🎅🎅🎅😮💨😮💨(EhEhEhEh)- Fun fact or just a fact in general, Hasn’t been seen outside of fun facts or facts yet.
