Looking Down
Audiovent Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Yeah
My shadow stretches far and free
Yeah
It's telling me what I could be
Could be

Cause I'm tired
Of looking up
All the time

We'll stand on top of the world
Looking down
We'll stand on top of the world
Looking down

Yeah
We'll set ourselves apart in time
Yeah
And then we'll leave it all behind
I'll rise

Cause I'm tired
Of looking out
For the line

We'll stand on top of the world
Looking down
We'll stand on top of the world
Looking down

We'll stand on top of the world

Yeah
Is anybody here like me?
Yeah
Can you face the sound
And decide?

We'll stand on top of the world
Looking down
We'll stand on top of the world
Looking down
We'll stand on top of the world
Looking down

To rise above on our own
Looking down

It's too bad they only made one album. They could have gone far. I loved every single track off their one album, still do.

They had an independently released album called "Papa's Dojo" when they were known as simply "Vent". Listen here: https://youtu.be/AnLeO7vaBDA

It was released in late 1999, right around the same time as Make Yourself by Incubus. Some of the songs were re-worked and re-recorded for their major label debut album. I don't know of any other albums by them, but there could be one more.
