Two Dice and a Silent Disguise
Aurora Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

(Music: Vestergaard - lyrics: Frolund)

(Solo: Vestergaard)

Do we know him well
Can he truly tell
Can he say he knows my name
Does he know who to blame
Can he see behind his mask
Does he know his task
Does he fear the life he leads
Will he walk where I do not know
A place I'd like to see and show
To view the world far and wide
A place where he can replace his long lost life
Do we see the thousand tears
he has shed through all his troubled years
The times that he was left alone
Never to see what he had been show
Is all he has enough to last
or will he need two dice to cast
Does he love what life denies
Will life succed his selfless tries
Or will he fall into a new disguise
Beyond this cold life

(Solo: Broberg/Vestergaard)

Overall Meaning

In Aurora's song Two Dice and a Silent Disguise, the lyrics tackle the theme of identity and self-discovery. The song sets out to question whether a person knows themselves fully, and if they are able to understand their true nature and purpose in life. The singer wonders if the person they are referring to truly knows them or understands them, or if they have a false sense of identity, hidden behind a mask.

The lyrics suggest that this person may be lost and searching for a place in this world, and the singer offers to guide them to a place of understanding where they can embrace life and find their true self. The lyrics also touch on the struggles and difficulties the person may have encountered in their life, showing empathy and a desire to help them overcome their hardships.

Overall, Two Dice and a Silent Disguise is a reflective and introspective song that encourages listeners to delve deeper into their own identity and purpose. It offers a message of hope and healing, acknowledging that while life can be challenging, finding oneself is a journey that is worth embarking on.

It's kind of funny. I really like this music, even though at the beginning when I started listening to it, I didn't like it as much, but it pulls you in with its aura. It is very different compared to all the other music out there, I like that. Awesome band, too bad they are not as mainstream as others. A Perfect Light is a beautiful song and very brutal as well - could've propelled them if they've done a video on it.

Epic album from Aurora!! Also, check out Enforsaken(who also broken up)https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7kDIR9eftvw-LxWz8Sw-DSdHVab5Gnj0If I had a dime for all the bands I've gotten into AFTER they've broken up, I'd be rich enough to pay them all to reunite!!
