This song made me realize how important relatable songs like this are, that sincerely say "I'm really mess up and everything is going wrong", it can really make you feel good and help you get through it and get over it. When you're going through tough times all you need is relatable songs like this and not all the "artificial fake happiness" we see around. Avril's sincerity and honesty is impressive and inspiring.

I used to listen to this song all the time when I was a teen but I never gave much attention to that line (probably cus im not a native english speaker and didnt really get it yet) but wow, those lyrics hit really hard. I feel like I really needed to hear that.

I also gotta point out how much I love the lyrics ”haven’t washed my hair” and how random yet perfect they are, lol. As someone with general anxiety disorder, whenever I haven’t been able to shower because of my mental health, it is such a thing that I may get really anxious over and feel ashamed of. And it perfectly fits with the following lyrics I mentioned above, because it’s important to remind ourselves that it’s okay to not always being up to do the most mundane tasks. It doesn’t mean you’re losing.

I just love the song’s message of going against the stream and accepting your failures. Life’s an uphill race, and you’re falling down. But it’s okay. Accepting that will help you get back on your feet again.

Let Go used to be one of the original CD copies we had here in Leh, Ladakh somehow back in 2008-09 with her handwritten lyrics within it! It was sent from Singapore those days from a friend else an original CD was nowhere seen in our town 🥴🥵
